My December bluum box took forever to arrive this month. I don’t know what the issue was, but I was happy to finally see it in the mailbox today!

The Box

bluum ships via FedEx Smart Post and usually takes about a week to arrive. My box took, umm, I kid you not 20 days? Lol! Once someone finally took it to FedEx it took 8 days, so that was about normal! But my label was printed on 12/11.

First Look

This month’s box was heavy and I was totally hoping that it wasn’t just heavy because of packaging materials. And when I opened it I was happy to see that there seemed to be actually “stuff” in it!

The Information Card

My December bluum was the 24 month-old box (I have WB aged up for some reason and I can’t age him back down or I will get repeat themes). It didn’t seem to have a theme this month (maybe that’s only 0-2?) and the information cards were all different this month as well! It was just a general card with the age on it.  Other December bluum boxes I have seen had the same card.  Maybe they just select age appropriate items now?  Not totally sure.  Here is what we received:

~Melissa & Doug Rainbow Stacker ($7.29): We actually got this in this month’s CL box, but it’s not bluum’s fault I get a bunch of boxes. We love ours and I am sure whoever we gift this too will enjoy it!  It’s a classic toy for sure.

~F is for Farm Book ($11.65): Oh goodness, WB loves this!  Loves it.  Touch and feel books are always a big hit and so are animal books.  This is perfect for him!

~Boogie Mist ($9.98):  I don’t know if I was supposed to get two of these or what, but they are awesome.  I am hoping cold season is over at our house (BAHAHA), but it’s likely not and these will come in quite handy.  I was so close to buying some of this the other day and I am so glad I didn’t.

~Green Eggs and Ham Divided Plate ($6.99): Another great item for us and I can never have enough plates and bowls.  They get icky from the dishwasher, so I am constantly tossing and replacing.

All totaled I came up with a value of $35.91 for the December bluum box.  Not the most “valuable” box I have never received from them, but I loved this one!  It actually may be one of my favorites! It was beyond $24.95/month cost of the box and I thought everything was a great quality and were things I would have purchased myself.

I have a 6 month old and her box had no theme either…
We got a sleep sheep rattle (little stuffed rattle that looks like the sleep sheep), pacifier wipes, homeopathic teething meds, a cute rattle, and some fancy (and super expensive) skin serum for me.
I’m kinda “meh” on my box. I don’t use pacifiers, and I don’t know how I feel about random homeopathic meds. The serum is nice value wise (the full sized bottle on amazon is like $90!) but I don’t want the bulk of my value to be stuff for me… But the baby liked the rattle! So that was good

They must have done away with the themes! They never quite fit anyway.

I cancelled my subscription after this last month. For my 11 month old box, I got baby wash, pacifier wipes, a small tube of triple paste cream, Some super tiny spoons, and a sample of laundry detergent. I was super disappointed. Some people got awesome boxes and some (mine included) were just horrible.

They have a ton of differences in their boxes. Too much. Sometimes I think I have gotten like mainly snacks in my boxes which I do not like

I think the non-theme is better for them. I do hope they stick with one thing too though!

i really do not like bluum and I cancelled too. In all 3 boxes they put items that were either too old or too young for my son. They did send me items to make up for the items that were too old/too young. Then they forgot the booger wipes this past month. they then resent me flushable wipes instead of booger wipes. It just seems too much effort to continue with bluum.

They sent me detangler for a boy. It was supposed to be shampoo. So they’d said they’d send me a replacement. What’d they send? Yep. Detangler. Again. LOL!!!!

I cancelled too! They sent me rainbow leggings for a boy 8month old boy I thought that was pretty odd. A little girl yeah, leggings are super cute but I have four boys I was really disappointed and cancelled as well.

I swear I have gotten those too!!!

I paid extra for “rush processing” and then didn’t receive the box until 16 days later. The items were not exciting and barely added up to the $25 cost. Straps to attach a sippy cup to my almost 2 year old’s wrist? Weird. After searching everywhere on the site for a way to unsubscribe, it took 7 emails to Bluum before they finally sent me the secret unsubscription link. Cute idea but horribly executed, not worth the money or headache of trying to unsubscribe.
