Ahhh! I was hoping that today would be the day for the 70% off Target Christmas Clearance to begin and sure enough, it was!! I know some stores are still at 50% off, but WB and I got quite lucky! Here is what we scored:
Starbucks:
~Starbucks Refillable Expresso Tumbler: $22.50 (reg. $75)
~Starbucks Refillable Brewed Coffee Tumbler: $9 (reg. $30)
~Starbucks Mini Red Cup Ornament: $1.48 (reg. $4.95)
I could NOT believe my luck when I walked in and found a treasure trove of these sitting in Starbucks! And the cashier about tipped over when she saw the price. I thought they’d still be 50% off. Not even!
Paper Goods:
~Bounty Napkins: $0.89 (reg. $2.99)
~Hefty Cups: $0.89 (reg $2.99)
Umm, there was more GladWare containers, Press N Seal rolls, Ziploc Bags and more napkins than I even saw at Target before Christmas. I saw some lady with a case of Ziploc bags. I restrained myself because umm, I don’t need any more of those (I’m learning).
Tape / Washi:
~Scotch Expressions Washi Tape: $0.89 (reg. $2.99)
~Scotch Tape – 3 Rolls: $2.39 (reg. $7.99)
Make sure to check the regular aisles for this kind of stuff. It easily gets mixed in. And when it doubt, SCAN! I also saw some scissors that will likely be around for 90% off because they look JUST like the “non-clearance” ones. I will try and take a picture when I go next.
Crafts:
~Keepsake Stone: $3 (reg. $10)
~Kid Made Modern Craft Tape: $2.69 (reg. $8.99)
There are a ton of Kid Made Modern Christmas Kits out there! I found a bunch on an end cap, totally untouched. I’m hoping to find them at 90% so I didn’t pick up anything except for the tape.
Kid’s Toys:
~Ninja Turtle Legos: $1.19 (reg. $3.99)
~Hot Wheels 4-Pack: $1.31 (reg. $4.99)
~Play-Doh: $1.19 (reg. $3.99)

I also saw Christmas hand towels and kitchen towels sitting around, so make sure to check the regular aisles for this kind of stuff. It easily gets missed!
Health / Beauty:

~EOS Gift Set: $1.49 (reg. $4.99)
~French Vanilla Hand Cream: $0.89 (reg. $2.99)
Notice that the packaging on these is holiday’ish. You can see the little reindeers if you look closely at the individual packs. These were both found in the regular aisles in the lip balm area. The hand cream was in one of those cardboard tree displays which are scattered around the store. Be sure to scan that stuff because it is not signed 70% off, but most of it is.
Wilton Pie Pan
~Wilton Pie Pan: $3.59 (reg.$11.99).
All Wilton items with this packaging is included in the Christmas clearance. I found an entire end cap in the kitchen area with this stuff. Shouldn’t be too hard to find when it goes to 90% off.
Mason Sippy Cups / Plastic Ware
~Mason Jar Sippy Cups: $1.49 (reg. $4.99)
~Silverware: $0.90 (reg. $3.00)
If you aren’t sure if something is on sale or included in the clearance and can’t find a scanner, flip it over and check for this tab. It doesn’t work for everything that’s included, but if you are looking for say, silverware or napkins, it’s an easy way to determine which is clearanced and which isn’t, since they all look the same.
I also took some pictures of some other clearance stuff that I saw and didn’t buy! Some of it I am hoping to find at 90% off and some of it I just felt like taking pictures of 😉
As always, scan, scan, scan!!! And don’t just go to the clearance section! Make sure to check the regular aisles as well! If you are hoping to find pajamas on sale, check the normal kid’s clothing section. Want cookie sheets and pie pans? Check out the kitchen section! When things get to 70% and 90% off, that stuff doesn’t last long in the normal Christmas Clearance section. Sometimes it never even gets moved there by the employees. BUT if you make sure to check ALL of the regular aisles, you will probably be able to uncover lots of fun goodies!

That would be a score!!! I totally don’t need any, but have a hard time resisting that kind of thing…
I got me and my sister one of the tumblers today from our target for $22.50…I was beyond excited bc I thought they were only going to be half off. What I want to know is how are they going to be able to know that someone only uses their tumbler once. Where I live we have 5 Starbucks that are all easy to get to, so I could see people trying to use the tumbler for more than one free drink a day.

I was at Target yesterday, but only glanced at the discount stuff in dollar section. I was tired from grocery shopping, but wish I would’ve looked for a few deals in other aisles. You did great!

One of the Targets in my area is 50% off too. I don’t think there is any rhyme or reason with how they do it!
Your Target always seems to have some better/ different toys. I would have loved all the toys you snagged. I’m pretty sure none of my stores had those to even begin with. Some of the other toys you took pictures of we have in stock though. I found some if the eos lip balm at 50% off the other day, I totally had to dig for it. I didn’t even think to look at the Starbucks in Target; I need to do that in the morning for sure.
Where is your Target? I always thought they got the same stuff, but maybe if the Seasonal area is smaller they don’t?
I went to my target today, and everything was still only 50% off. I picked up a couple things that I really needed (9in cake pan, cookie sheets, and tape) but I will definitely be back once it hits 70%! I was surprised at how much stuff was still there, and I’m really excited to see what deals I can score with the 70% off!
I only buy cookie sheets and that kind of stuff in the after holiday clearance!!! The deals are so good!
please tell when its 90% ? alot of people say its on the 2nd others until 5th HELP!!!
No one really knows. In general, it’s 50% for the first three days after the holiday (26, 27th & 28), then 70% off for the next three days (29, 30 & 31), which would make 90% off on the 1st. But target has been known to switch things up and keep things at 70% longer, etc. so no one knows. The best way to find out is to go to your store (don’t call because they don’t always know) and scan stuff because the signs may say 70% and it’s really 90%. I doubt it will happen before Jan. 1 though. Checking on slickdeals.net in the Target thread helps too!
I’m hoping to make it out tomorrow and do some hunting. M is off so he can wrangle the boys around while I hunt 😉

Now I’m kind of wishing I’d asked to go with my dad on his weekly target run last night to try to get some clearance deals for my nieces birthday and next christmas. She’d love those kids craft kits we got her lots of little craft things for Christmas this year including a zipper jewelry making and spin splatter art. But she’s been at her dad’s and then her other grandparents since Christmas morning so aunt Lisa doesn’t get to play with them yet lol only since I know I’ll be the one she asks you to play with them with her lol

I was excited to find an espresso tumbler for my husband at a Target by me today but it was only 50% off. The Christmas stuff was only 50% off as well. I suspect the tumblers will get marked down (if there are any left) when all the Christmas stuff gets marked down again. I still think the tumblers are a great deal! My husband and I plan on walking to Starbucks every morning before work to get our drinks!
Even 50% off is a good deal! A really good deal actually! And I agree that it’s getting marked down with the clearance markdown.
What were you showing us on the back of the plastic flatware that indicated it was a holiday item? Was it the little snowflake circle at the top?
Yes. Sorry. I don’t know if it’s a snowflake or a flower or what. But it pretty much means clearance item.
What section did you find the starbucks tumblers in? I dug through the $1 section and got a bunch of books and stickers for my daughter s daycare for about $5 and for $.90 each 6 weekly desk planners for my coworkers. Wish I could post pictures. So jealous – my Targets have been all out of the Starbucks mugs even at 50% off. Your Target seems way better stocked than the 4 I’ve been to so far.
My favorite one always seems to be packed with stuff. The Starbucks mugs are going fast though. None of the store s super near me have them anymore.
My Target had nothing by the time they put the stuff out on 30% sale. At 50%, it was total chaos. Sigh!

Also, make sure you check the regular toy aisles for clearance. I know that the big toy clearance happens in January but I got a lot of great deals on Saturday. They had many things down the aisles for 50%-70% off. I also grab things for my gift closet and I was able to great some great toys (LaLa Loopsy, Nerf Toys, etc.) for awesome prices to save for future events. 🙂

Dog toys, dog toys, dog toys. It’s going to be Christmas around here for a loonnnggg time.
We always buy a couple of each holiday dog toy at 50% off, see what lasts (my dogs are hellbeasts on toys), and then hit it up big at 70% – bonus if anything lasts to 90%.
I took a photo – we kind had something like 30 dog toys in our cart.
Ours was cleared out of paper and plastic goods. 🙁 luckily we bought big on those at 50% off.

My Target was pretty much cleared out of the “obvious” holiday stuff, but I managed to snag tape (the 3+1) packs, and totally surprised to find the Doc McStuffins stethoscopes at $1.94. None of the other DMcS sets in the same display though.
The non-obviously stuff is always what I like to find!
I was just at Target Saturday but have to go back today. I didn’t even think to look at the diapers!!…I also want to go back & look for those magical pens cause I couldn’t find them 🙁

Since I still can’t reply to a reply (very weird) I’m writing again. We went to one store this morning and it was crazy crazy crazy. It is a huge Target and they only had one aisle and an end cap of Christmas left. I managed to get a couple roles of paper that were not Justin Beiber, some Disney gift bags and some washi tape. I tried looking in the regular aisles but this store is way to organized. Heading out to dinner with M tonight and if time after that and before the movie I’ll try another one. Its a smaller Target but sometimes I can’t find goodies.
There must be some glitch today or something??
Too organized stores are no good! We have one like that around here. I avoid it at clearance time ;).
Because of this post, I ran out to Target. There was a lot of nice Christmas stuff but I can’t imagine adding more to my collection right now, so I held back. I ended up buying that hand cream (Apricot Vanilla) and a few Scotch tape rolls for 60 cents. I wish I could have found Starbucks stuff, but there’s no clearance left there. I may try another Target this week 🙂 Thanks for the tips!

The valentines washi tape in the $1 section is super cute!! I saw red with white hearts, pink with white hearts, pink & white striped, red & white chevron and black & white chevron!!

You are a good sauvy shopper! I am not if it is me or my Target but one of us sucks! LOL I couldn’t find any of the great deals you got! I was really hoping for the washi tape and the Eos but couldn’t find anything in the regular isles. I couldn’t find the Matchbox cars either but I did find those at Halloween in the regular isle so maybe they were just gone. I couldn’t find the napkins either. But I did spend a fortune on new cubbies for my daycare, storage baskets, chevron lamp shades for the living room……….
I’ve been target clearance shopping for ages! i know what to look for now! I do a lot of digging when it gets to 90% off! And luckily I have tons of Targets by me, which helps.
