Tea Sparrow, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box for, you guessed it, tea! Each Tea Box comes with 4 different teas and approximately 1oz of each tea. According to their site, that makes approximately 35 cups if you like your tea strong, or 65 cups if you like your tea weak.

Tea Sparrow ships via USPS and took about 3-4 days to arrive.  The mail is so crazy right now that I probably shouldn’t even put up how long things take to arrive.  I sent something to CA recently and it took 10 DAYS!  Geez.

First Look

Everything is packaged perfectly in Tea Sparrow and bags could easily be separated and gifted to friends  Bags are resealable too, which is great.  I am sure you don’t need me to tell you again, but I am not a fan of tea.  But that doesn’t mean that this isn’t a fabulous box and that tons of people wouldn’t be interested in it, so when they asked me if I’d do a review and share about them, of course I said yes!  Here is what was included:

~Organic Naked Chai by Teaja: This is an herbal tea and has “cardamon and clove top notes, augmented by ginger and cinnamon, with a faint but delightful aroma of black pepper”.  My cousin, who ends up with most of my tea (B keeps the manly teas), is going to love this one!

~White Orchard Tea by Mighty Leaf: Now this tea sounds so good (pure China white tea blended with melon and peach), but I know I’d drink it and it’d just taste like tea to me. I have trouble pulling out flavors in a lot of things like that.

~Vanilla Honeybush by Florapharm:  This is going to be another awesome one for my cousin.  She’s drinking more tea and less coffee and this tea is a “smooth aromatic Vanilla caramel flavour” which she will totally love! Also this can be served hot or as an iced tea! Tea Sparrow give suggestions on how to prepare each of the teas as well.  This one’s suggestion is to steep 1 teaspoon per 6 ounces of not-quite boiling water for 5 minutes.

~Earl Grey Supreme by Rishi Tea: I was under tyne impression that Earl Grey was an actual brand of tea, but obviously it is not!  This is a caffeinated black tea infused with a smooth liquoring Yunnan with 100% natural essential oil pressed from real bergamot citrus fruits.

I did’t go a cost breakdown on Tea Sparrow (I think it would have been quite difficult), however, is tea is something you love and want an easy way to try a ton of new things, totally check them out!  Tea Sparrow $20/month and you can check it out here!

Disclosure: This complimentary box was received for review purposes. All opinions are my own and no compensation was received.

I’ve been drinking a ton of tea this past month (I think Starbucks might think I’ve forgotten them) and a vanilla caramel flavor sounds good. I’ll have to look for it.

It even sounded good to me.
