Much to my surprise, my February 2014 Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box arrived today! It was a little late last month and didn’t arrive until the beginning of February, so it was great to get two JLH boxes this month!

And just in case you aren’t familiar, Fancy, which is $39/month plus shipping, has a “regular” Fancy Box full of cool goodies or celebrity curated boxes which include a collection of the coolest products hand-picked by Jennifer Love Hewitt, Verbal, Kelly Rowland, Coco Rocha and / or Tyler Florence. They also offer a Fancy Food Box (which is one of my favorites).

Fancy Box ships via FedEx Ground and always takes two days to arrive. Shipping is $7.95 on top of the price of the box, but thinking about it, I would probably pay a few more dollars for some of the boxes that ship Smart Post or DHL for them to get here more quickly!

I couldn’t for the life of me imagine what was in this heavy box.  When I opened it and saw that huge book, it all totally made sense!  My first impression was that it didn’t seem very JLH like.  Or at least not like her previous boxes.

The Information Card

The February Jennifer Love Hewitt information cards had little notes on the back from JLH explaining why the items were picked, what she does with the, etc.  Here is what was included:

~Mixing Pitcher with Hawthorne Strainer ($29.95):I have never seen a mixing picture like this, but I think it’s pretty cool.  And I hope B mixes up some drinks in it this weekend.

~Movie Icons: 365 Day-By-Day ($30): I am not a huge movie buff, but I’ll probably flip through this and pass it along to my brother who likes movies more than I do.  I am kind of the type who watches a movie, likes it, and then sees it on iTunes and asks B if I’ve already seen it because I can’t remember.

~CC Made Classic Caramel Corn ($4):  We received this a few months ago in PopSugar and I liked it, so I don’t mind getting it again!  It’s good and will be a good snack.

~Drifter Socks by Richer Poorer ($12):  I am not totally sure what the pattern on these are, but I’ll wear them.  The sock caper strikes my house every week and takes a handful of socks with them, so we are always in need!

All totaled I came up with a value of $75.95 for the February 2014 Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box!  I love that she went back to doing “themed” boxes and think that this movie themed box was perfect timing for the Oscars which is Sunday!!  I hope that the themes continue and look forward to next month!

Umm………no to all of it. I signed on to this box a couple months ago, just loved everything about the travel box. I guess this is sort of fitting for the Oscars but what do the socks socks have to do with movies.

    1. Jennifer

The card said to put on the socks and curl up on the couch with a movie. LOL. So basically nothing??? It would have fit better if they had little movie reels on them or something!

I just got my box (I’m in the UK) and was really pleased with the items and loving how JLH curates a theme each month….. BUT I’m a little confused as I thought the value of the box was supposed to be over $80 value….particularly as I didn’t get the candy corn (I suppose they can’t ship food internationally?) and no substitution… Do you complain if your box value falls short?

    1. Jennifer

I never do, but I know that they sometimes do fall short. Never hurts to send them a message!

    Just FYI
Thank you, cuz your pic i saw by chance when i googled “JLH socks”
i found your pic and found out i was missing that caramel corn in my box.
and my paper (joined in the box) do not even mention “Hewitt Box February” as usual but only “Book, Socks, Pitcher”
Fancy did not find useful to inform international customs that food is not allowed to be sent to them and i wonder if Jennifer Love Hewitt knows about this?
And Fancy did not even change price for missing item!
i do not live in USA and i did not get that caramel corn
so i emaild cs Fancy and i got explanations! and they proposed to give me some money back on next order.
you mention that food was sent in other earlier JLH boxes… is that correct?
    i am cmeo

I have never received food in a Jennifer Love Hewitt Box before? I have received it in other subscriptions boxes though.

I did email them and also was offered a small credit towards my next order along with an apology + explanation. As a one off it’s fair enough.

I was also thinking of ordering the Tyler Florence box which is available internationally but it seems to often (always) contains food items so now I’m wondering how fancy would deal with that…. does anyone know of a UK reviewer who subscribes to the TF box?

I do not. Maybe check instagram??
