I couldn’t believe it, but my March 2014 Tyler Florence Fancy Box arrived today!  I just got my February one a couple of weeks ago, so I was shocked that this month arrived so early.

And just in case you aren’t familiar, Fancy, which is $39/month plus shipping, has a “regular” Fancy Box full of cool goodies or celebrity curated boxes which include a collection of the coolest products hand-picked by Jennifer Love Hewitt, Verbal, Kelly Rowland, Coco Rocha and / or Tyler Florence. They also offer a Fancy Food Box (which is one of my favorites).

The Box

As always, Fancy ships via FedEx and took two days to arrive.  And like I said I was very surprised to get it this early this month.  I know it’s not “early” in the month, but compared to the last few months, this box is early.

First Look

I wasn’t totally sure what everything was from the first look, but it looked like a good assortment of items.

The Information Card

The information cards were the same as normal.  They had notes on the back from Tyler Florence about why he likes the items, why he picked them, etc.  Here is what was included:

~Small Serving Board ($25): Tyler Florence suggests using this acacia wood board as a small chopping board or as a serving piece.  I like his idea of using it to prepare meats for the grill and will have to keep that in mind.

~Spoon Rest ($9): Totally useful and it’s already next to the stove.  I swear I used to have one just like this, but I must have broken it or something and the only other ones I have are holiday ones.

~Set of 2 Bamboo Servers ($21): A perfect item for summer salads.  We never seem to have the proper serving utensils (or if we have them we don’t have enough) so these will come in handy.  Also, can the weather warm up enough for me to be able to eat a salad on the patio?  Enough already!

~Round Slate Coasters ($12): Oh I love these too.  They have a rubber base so you don’t have to worry about them scratching anything.  I think these are meant for the patio as well.

~Cake Server ($6): I do actually think we have a cake server, but I don’t mind having a spare.  B takes pie to work with him every once in a while (pie he makes) and I can send this with him and not worry about him not bringing it back for a week.

~Rustic Bakery 2 Seed Lavosh ($8): Tyler Florence says that this is one of his favorite snacks and suggests pairing it alongside a strong-flavored cheese.  I like that idea and if the Spartans make it to the Final Four, I may just have to take a Challenge break and have a little March Madness feast!

All totaled the March 2014 Tyler Florence Fancy Box had a value of $81.  I love that this box had six items and am happy with it, however, it didn’t have that “wow” factor that some of his boxes have had.   Still, I am satisfied and look forward to next month’s box!
