Friday’s Letters

Dear Matthew McConaughey, You are one smooth dude.

Dear Jury Duty, Somehow it took almost 20 years for my time to come, but it has. I was overdue for sure. I’ll see you (and the free wifi and library books) in December.

Dear Jessa Duggar, Did you really? Something tells me Jim Bob didn’t like that one bit!

Dear Target Halloween Clearance, I am sorry I didn’t hit you up for your 90% off deals.  I just wasn’t feeling the selection this year.  Hopefully we can get together again soon.

Dear My Inbox, I promise you will be handled this weekend.  Because you have been being neglected and I feel badly about that.

Dear WB, I am sorry we haven’t been making our normal Starbucks runs.  I know you need a Cakepop.  We’ll get one soon.  I promise.

Dear Michigan State, Ahhh, Tomorrow night is going to be nuts.  I am so nervous and excited.  #gogreen

Dear Christmas Lights, Why are you up a zillion places already? There is a tree lighting at the mall this weekend already.  It seems early, but maybe not?

Dear L, I cannot believe you lost your second tooth of the week last night.  That is crazy.  Honestly we all have no idea how you even eat.  You are missing SO many teeth!

Dear Gar Prices, Are you for real?  Because with my Kroger rewards added in, I ended up paying $2.39/gallon this week.  That is crazy amazing.  I.love.it.

Dear Jay Leno, I can’t wait to see you on The Tonight Show tonight.  You are a total class act and I look forward to hearing what you have been up to!

Lucky! I get called up for jury duty every time my time runs out. I’ve never actually been on a jury, but I did go in for a solid week during jury selection for a huge case here once. At the end of the week, there were still over 100 potential jurors so they just said “everyone who has a juror id after this number can go home!” and I was on that list.

I have been itching to put up Christmas decorations but it is way too early. After Thanksgiving though?? Bring it!

Lastly, I love the gas rewards at Fry’s (our brand of Kroger). Last time I filled up I got gas for $2.17/gallon thanks to the $0.70/gallon reward. I was beyond empty and filled my entire tank for like $37! Regular prices are around $2.65 now, I only got $0.30/gallon so I’m going to wait until the end of the month to see just how low our gas prices will go.

I got called for jury duty once. In Missouri. A couple of years after I had already moved to Georgia. Luckily it was pretty easy to take care of.

I can’t stand the Duggars. I don’t have cable anymore, but when I did and they would come on, I would always change the channel.

I don’t really watch the Duggars and have a not-so-positive opinion of their whole gig in general, but I think Jessa may be the most interesting. Seems she is willing to break out of the strict standards set by her family now that she is on her own. I’ll be interested to see if she continues to buck her family’s conservative ways.

I actually like jury duty and it seems everytime I actually make it to the panel for screening, I get chosen. I think it’s because I work at a law firm, but I’m not a lawyer, so they always want me. I never feel more popular than I do when I’m at jury duty, lol. Plus, it’s a perfect time to read since there is so much waiting time.

And I am very jealous of your gas prices! I live in California, so high $3 prices are normal for us. It’s been $2.85 and that is beyond amazing for out here…10 cents less if you use grocery rewards. We’re going on a roadtrip to disneyland in two weeks, so I am hoping it goes even lower.

Jess was married. If her parents set up a kissing room what do they expect? I would never have 19 kids myself but I do admire the fact that the Duggars pay for all of their kids themselves (unlike say Octomom!) They seem like really REALLY nice people.

      I’m so excited!!!!

I wouldn’t be surprised if jessa and ben did, I mean at that age after months of their hormones building up what do you expect to happen in the private room. I also slightly wondered if jill and derrick did right after their wedding cause to me she seemed to have a certain glow about her when they went to the reception. When you wait that long for a kiss and a front hug it’s bound to happen at least they were married and it wasn’t right before the wedding Jim bobs head would explode then.

Maybe she was pregnant before the wedding!
