~That extra hour really seemed to make this weekend a lot longer.  No seriously.  We trick-or-treated Friday night (for like 2 seconds because it was freezing and windy) and then L went up-north for Saturday night for the last of the Halloween fun.  B, WB and I ran some errands and then tried out a new placed that just opened up for dinner.  B left yesterday for some National Guard stuff, so we have been all over the place this weekend! Oh and L is Star of the Week at school this week (this is a HUGE deal) so we had to do some stuff for that as well!

~Let’s see, what subscription boxes are coming this week? I should be getting MunchPak, NewBeauty TestTube, Fabletics and probably a few more I can’t think of right now.  I still need to get my Latest Subscription Box Additions / News posted for the week as well.  That  will happen either later today or tomorrow!  If there are any new boxes you have heard of of any boxes you are wondering what’s going on with, let me know and I’ll get it added to the update.

~We are having an Ugly Sweater Christmas Eve with my relatives and I am planning on winning so I need to get shopping for a sweater.  Do I go for vintage ugly Christmas sweaters (and by vintage I mean like 1980’s) or do I go with one of the online shops that specializes in ugly sweaters?  Also, is there any after-market for this kind of thing?

~I read somewhere that you can scan the bar codes on the samples that you receive from subscription boxes to get their value!  That is if they are also sold somewhere in that size.  It never occurred to me to even try this and I think I am going to give it a shot on my next few reviews.  Anyway, what bar code scanner app do you use?

~I was up late on Pinterest last night and I got the itch to make something.  I am not sure what I want to craft exactly (maybe a centerpiece of some sorts for my table), but I am in a crafting mood!  I have always wanted to make one of those big ribbon wreaths so that’s a possibility too.  Are they hard to make?  Because it certainly looks like they would be!

Shopsavvy is my favorite scanning app. Wreaths take some time but with pinterest.com and wiki how you can figure it out. Are you planning on getting any of the limited editions from birchbox?

    1. Jennifer

Yes of course! I got all 3 😉

Did you see there’s a November Popsugar spoiler out? MSA has it up.

    1. Jennifer

Yes! I put it on my spoiler page, but I haven’t gotten around to posting about it yet!

I’m loving the vanity affair Birchbox. I’m hoping our November Birchbox Man finally gets delivered today. It’s taking the slow route to our house this month.

The local Hallmark store had an “ugly sweater kit” that had patches you could sew on any sweater. Thought that was fun. May have to go back and get it, if anything it might make a cute stocking stuffer!

      That does sound cute!

Hi Jennifer- Nordstrom Rack has ugly sweater kits!

That’s a good excuse for me to go to the Rack….

Sounds like the ugly sweater is becoming a new Christmas tradition. Way to go L for being star of the week. Love their costumes. It was cold and raining here. My 6 year old lasted for a little over an hour. My front doors are in so I am hoping the contractor can put them in next week while I am gone and my husband can do it. Also the plumber is coming over next week to do what might turn into extensive work so I making sure that everything is accessible for him. We need to remodel the bathroom which we hope to accomplish in the spring, but it depends whether the plumber says we can wait that long and can do a quick fix.

Boxes – Wantables Intimates and Accessories, maybe Homegrown Collective.

      Your 6 year-old is a champ!

What is up with the bathroom? Plumbers always cost me a fortune. Or they end up coming to and fixing the dumbest problem I should have been able to fix on my own. Once I had problems with my laundry tub draining. Turns out it just had lint in it……

I think the simple answer is a leaky washer. The more complicated answer is that the fixtures are old and may not hold up to my husband replacing the washer. We are hoping the plumber can do it. I hate to have to buy new fixtures now and then maybe having to replace them when remodeling because they don’t work with the new tub. I can see that happening. It’s like the front doors which needed to be special ordered and also extra stuff for the contractorbecause the slope under the front door slopes in the wrong direction.
