Spring 2015 Yuzen Subscription Review
Spring 2015 Yuzen

This week is off to a good start subscription box wise – my Spring 2015 Yuzen is here!

If you aren’t familiar, Yuzen is a quarterly subscription box that sends you a little Zen for every season.  Each box includes high-quality natural and organic personal care products, healthy snacks, and lifestyle items carefully chosen from about 6 companies.  Yuzen was previously a monthly subscription box (this was a while ago), but switched to quarterly early last year, which I like even better.

The Box

Yuzen ships via USPS Priority Mail and took just two business days to arrive.  I love that they use Priority Mail and I LOVE that they ship ahead of the season so you can get prepared.

The Yuzen Box

Inside the outer brown box is the actual Yuzen box itself.  They have an amazing presentation and these boxes would be easily gifted.

Inside the box is even more gorgeous packaging.  All of the items arrive in an organza bag and everything looked incredible.

The Information Card

The Spring 2015 Yuzen box included the following items to help you get into the spirit as the warmer months approach:

~Acure Organics Lip Lush (Daang!) ($7.99): I don’t know how many different shades of this Yuzen sent out, but “Daang!” is gorgeous.  This gloss is made from food and plant based ingredients and is 100% natural, vegan and cruelty free.  I love the price point on this as well. It’s something that you could fall in love with and not feel about about buying over more of.

Acure Organics Lip Lush

~Chocolove Toffee & Almonds in Milk Chocolate Bar ($1.25): I have always enjoyed the Chocolove chocolate bars I have tried in the past, but I think I will end up passing this one on to B.  I like my chocolate without nuts.

~CO-PUR Hand Balm ($8): I was surprised by now non-greasy this was.  It was moisturizing, but didn’t leave my hands feeling all slippery.  It works well on cuticles too.  I like the idea of this for traveling or in your purse because you will never have to worry about it leaking.

CO-PUR Hand Balm

~Innersense Organic Beauty Pure Harmony Hairbath and Pure Inspiration Daily Conditioner (~$4): This shampoo is sulfate-free and both have an assortment of plant ingredients.  The containers aren’t huge, but I’ll be able to get a few uses out of them.

~Nubian Heritage Honey & Black Seed 24 Hour All Natural Deodorant ($7.99): I am surprised by how much I love this.  It smells really good and seems to work well.  I am a new fan of this brand!

Nubian Heritage Honey & Black Seed 24 Hour All Natural Deodorant

~Spa Ritual Nail Lacquer (Love Is In The Air) ($6.50): Spa Ritual polishes have been in a few subscription boxes and they make a great polish.  It lasts a bit longer than most polishes and I’ve always found the formula to be very consistent.  All subscribers are receiving this pink color for “the romance of Valentine’s Day and for the freshness of Spring”.

Spa Ritual Nail Lacquer (Love Is In The Air)

~Spa Technologies Micro Pearl Dermabrasion ($8.47): This is a seaweed based cream and it uses tiny pearl crystals to exfoliate your skin.  I am using (well testing) some other face stuff right now, so I only tried this on my hands.  I could notice a difference after using it just once and thought it made my hands a lot softer!

Spa Technologies Micro Pearl Dermabrasion

~Yurrku Australia Utopia Night Cream ($16): I am not testing out any night creams right now, so I will be using this one. What I should do is use the same products and switch one up at a time so I can really see what it does, but I am so impatient to test stuff out.  I can’t see any long-term effects of this yet, but it didn’t make me break out last night, so that’s good.

All totaled I came up with an estimated value of $60 for the Spring 2015 Yuzen box.  I don’t think that Yuzen has ever let me down and they didn’t let me down with this season either.  Their boxes are well curated and the products always feel very spa-like.  I subscribe to Yuzen on my own and have for about two years now and I really would recommend them.
