~Good morning! Lots going on around here. As you can see I changed up the header and the background a little bit and this is now “Subscription Box Ramblings”. I think I mentioned a while ago that I was tossing around the idea of separating subscription box and non-subscription box “stuff” and this is it.  This page will eventually just have subscription box stuff (and I may end up changing the domain name one day), but for the next few months nothing will really change while I get it all worked out.  Now, if you click on “Blog” in the Menu bar above, you’ll end up on Ramblings of a Suburban Mom which has non-subscription box posts only.  Posts like this.  Hmm, let’s see, what else.  Oh, the Contact Form is now fixed so no one should be having issues with that anymore.  I’m working on fixing the RSS feed so hopefully the Daily Post E-Mail Recap will head out like normal today.  If not today it’ll be ready tomorrow.  Oddly enough, the Contact Form problems caused the RSS feed problems.  It makes no sense, I know. Trust me.  I know.

~I finally got my Tieks calendar! They sent out an e-mail about it back in January (I think they sent it to everyone? who bought Tieks last year) and it just arrived.  Anyway, it’s adorable.  I have like 4 calendars in my office (from subscription boxes) plus a planner and I still never know what day it is.  LOL!

~I’ve still got quite a few boxes coming this week including Birchbox Man, Birchbox (my March box has shipped), DottieboxFrankie & Albert (I wasn’t expecting that one), And I am still hoping for some March PopSugar spoilers!!  Come on PopSugar!  What are you waiting on?

~L’s school has a big end of school party for all the kids / parents and I need some ideas.  They (well I guess we since I volunteered to co-chair) do like bounce houses, a Photo Booth, airbrush tattoos, games, ice-cream, hot dogs, etc.  But we want to do something else.  Maybe a dunk tank or some sort of make your own something that would be super fun and not super expensive to rent / buy?  Anyone?  Oh and I also have volunteered to bake something for the bake sale this weekend.  I’m thinking cookies.  How many little cookies do you put in each bag?  3? 4?

~Has anyone tried Baby Foot? It removes dead skin cells (which you may not even know about) from your feet.  DO NOT do a google image search if you are eating right now.  Or were eating.  Or ever want to eat again. DO NOT.  I heard about it a while ago and then Kathie Lee was talking about it on Today and how she loved it.  I’m going to order some from Amazon and I will let you know what I think.

That’s all from here.  What’s going on this weekend?  Don’t forget to Spring Forward!

One of the things I like about your blog is that it’s not only sub reviews. It’s more rounded and more fun to check daily. But the page is no longer refreshing when I load it. I have to manually refresh to see your most recent post.

That’s what makes this my favorite blog, as well! I love how it’s all mixed in and such, just makes it always super happy to read! 🙂

THOUGH. I’m sure we’ll get used to it being separated, as well!

      1. Jennifer

Well it won’t be separated on here for months so nothing’s changed yet!

    2. Jennifer

What was it loading this morning?

      1. Melissa

Still kept loading only Mommy Box.

        1. Jennifer

That’s super weird. I’ll add that to my To Do List!

Oh splitting the blog. It will be like 2X the fun 🙂
Not sure the timing but what about an outdoor movie? Or maybe a food truck. We went to a party and they had a tacobell food truck. The boys loved that.

Btw. Off topic. Did you ever try the Lowes Build and Grow activity? If you have a lowes by you. My kids have loved it for years. My son made a monster truck this last weekend. And theres another next weekend.

    2. Jennifer

Thanks! It’ll all still be here for a while! I know some people get annoyed with scrolling through the subscription box stuff, so hopefully the other blog will make it easier for them!

Love the new new fresh logo. Too cute

Thank you! I really like it!

I usually do 3 cookies per bag for bake sales unless the cookies are small. Then I do 4 or 5 if they’re really small. Oh, and that’s when it’s $1 per bag.

    1. Jennifer

I think they are selling them for $1 per bag. I should probably go to the store and get the stuff for cookies…..

Really love your blog. This is my first time to comment. Saw your post about baby feet. PLEASE let us know how it works. I have been very interested! Thank you for sharing this blog with us! You rock!

I’ve done Baby Feet several times. The first time I did it I was disappointed because nothing seems to happen but the directions do tell you that it takes a couple of days to see results. The peeling begins with the fun satisfaction of peeling skin after a sunburn and then it gradually grows into an alien invasion type of thing that becomes super worrisome where you begin to wonder if it’s ever going to stop and why do you fall for every.single.thing. you see on Pinterest. But then – you get baby soft feet after the alien invasion and it all seems worth it. Hence – me doing it several times. 🙂 I wouldn’t suggest doing it within a day or two of wanting your feet to look super cute in some sandals.

I’ve read about Baby Foot. The process sounds gross. I like the blog the way it is so I am going to be one of the ones switching back and forth.

  11. PA Anna

Oops. I forgot to add that I have to manual refresh the page to see the latest postings.

    1. Jennifer

Yeah, I’ve heard. BOO! I need to play around with some settings.

    2. Jennifer

It should be working now. Well, I *think* so anyway. Fingers crossed.

  12. Cathleen

I’ve done Baby Feet once so far. It took longer than I expected for my feet to start peeling, and they kept peeling for longer than I thought they would, but I was pretty happy with the results! I would use it again.

    Hi Jen,
I use Feedly and haven’t received any updates from your blog since 4 days. Then I went to the web address and it said it has been removed. I somehow chanced into your new site today.. What really happened and why can’t I see your blog on the ramblibgsofasuburbanmom address. I missed reading your daily columns!! 🙁

    1. Jennifer

I’m not sure what you mean? You are on ramblingsofasuburbanmom.com? did you have a typo in the address? My RSS feed was down the last few days but it’s corrected now!

  14. Jessica

Jen, I am one of those that also love how you interweave the boxes and life pieces together.

Also, are you going to do the march madness brackets again? I loved participating last year with everyone 🙂

Thanks for you hard work and sharing with us daily.

    1. Jennifer

Yes yes yes!!! March Madness is one of my favorite times of year! I am so excited!!!!
