Frankie & Albert is a monthly subscription to receive handpicked Thrift store finds. Each month their team will handpick each treasure specifically for you and mail it directly to your home. They also offer a digital swap meet section in case you don’t totally love what you receive.
Frankie & Albert ships via USPS Priority Mail and took just a few days to arrive.
This is my third Frankie & Albert box and, as a general rule, I will always give a box 3 months to decide if I want to keep the subscription of not. This is the ultimate grab bag – you have NO idea what’s coming in this box!
The box doesn’t include a detailed information card and instead they sticker each of the items with a code. The codes are used in the Swap section of the Frankie & Albert site. If you don’t love something you receive you can swap to out with another subscriber for something you do love. I still cannot access the Swap section and since it doesn’t appear to be magically fixing itself like I excepted it to be I need to e-mail them.
Here is what my April 2015 Frankie & Albert box contained:
~Jewelite Handheld Mirror: Cute mirror, but I don’t know what I will do with a handheld mirror? Maybe it’s just something I didn’t know I needed because I didn’t have one.
~Lenox Bowl: The detail on this bowl is gorgeous! I’m not too sure what type of bowl this is (soup or just decorative), but I like it.
~Gold Bowl: I have a few small bowls for little trinkets so maybe that’s why I am not overly excited by this one. I do like the detail on it though.
~Black & Gold Mini Pitcher: I wonder what this pitcher was original used for? It’s super small and *might* hold 4oz of water? Probably less actually. Does anyone know? I would love to learn more!
Since these are thrift store finds I can’t do a price breakdown on this box. While I don’t dislike this box, I think the $49.99 price point is just too high. If I received items more like the ones I see on their site I think I would stick around, but $49.99 it’s just too high for what I have been getting.
Have you tried Frankie & Albert? What do you think? If you are interested in checking them out you can head here and see what they are all about! And I will make sure I update this when I figure out what’s going on with their swap site.
