B’s Birchbox Man Limited Edition: Smarter Workout Box arrived yesterday! This box is a separate purchase from the monthly BIrchbox subscriptions and promised to include items to help you work out faster, smarter and in impeccable style.
Birchbox ships a variety of methods, but this box arrived via USPS. I ordered this box on the day that it was released (Tuesday), it shipped Wednesday and arrived yesterday (Friday). You never have to wait long for your Birchbox Limited Edition boxes!
I didn’t tell B I ordered this box for him and just let it be a surprise when he saw it. He’s just started working out in the mornings again so I thought this would be a fun little gift for him.
The Birchbox Man Limited Edition Smarter Workout Box included the following items:
~Alternative Basic Crew T-Shirt ($28): I suppose you could wear this shirt to workout, but B will wear it as an everyday shirt. It’s soft and slim-fitted, but not skin-tight. I love it!
~Anthony No Sweat Body Defense (90mL / 3fl oz) ($20): This “moisture barrier” blocks sweat, chafing and irritation – especially below the belt. This item is a perfect fit for this box and is unlike anything I think B has ever received in a subscription box. I know he will love trying it.
~Joha Stripes Earbuds with Mic ($7.95): The Women’s box contained these earbuds as well. They aren’t super comfy. but like I said in that review they will work well as a spare pair.
~Montez Renault Shave Cream (2fl oz) ($5.88): When B finally does decide to shave his beard, this will be waiting patiently for him. It’s enriched with aloe and coconut oil and don’t tell him, but I hope he uses it sooner rather than later.
~Niche for Men Male Deoderizing Wipes (1 2-pk) ($3): If you don’t have time to shower after a workout, grab one of these. Obviously it’s not exactly the same, but it works well in a pinch. These are also great for festivals and camping.
~Ursa Major 4-in-1 Essential Face Tonic (2 fl oz) ($6): I am not sure if Face Tonic is something B uses on a regular basis, but he will now! This helps to “zap dirt and oil” while also smoothing skin. I tested it myself and it didn’t seem to harsh like some tonics are.
~Vapur Eclipse Anti-Bottle 700mL ($11.99): The women’s box also included an “anti-bottle” like this. I asked on there how people dried theirs and someone recommended putting it in the freezer. That is genius! I will be doing that going forward!
~Zirh Ikon Pure Hair & Body Wash (3.4fl oz / 100mL) ($20): The final product in the box is a multi-tasting hair & body wash. I really like multi-functional products and think they are awesome for your gym bag. This one smells nice and I know B will be happy with it.
All totaled I came up with a value of $102.82 for the Birchbox Man Smarter Workout Box. Just like with the Women’s Gym Bag Heroes box, I think the difference in my value vs. the Birchbox value ($122) comes down to the headphones. The value is still nearly double the cost of the box and B loved it. Birchbox makes the best limited edition boxes!
