Not much to see in this first look. I had gotten a glimpse of a few boxes on YouTube though, so I basically new what to expect.
The August 2015 Orange Glad box included the following items:
~Mango Coconut Shortbread Tea Mates by Silk Shortbread: These cookies are a combination of coconut and mango and were amazing. I didn’t expect them to be so good actually. The consistency was spot on and neither the coconut or the mango was too overwhelming. I absolutely loved these.
~Key Lime Coolers by Byrd’s Famous Cookies: I think I have had these somewhere before? I’d describe them as refreshing. They are tarte, but sweet and would be nice on a hot summer day with a cool drink.
~Original & Salted Caramel Snack Pack by Three Kids and A Kitchen: I expected a bit more from these. Don’t get me wrong, these are quite yummy (I LOVE caramel), but I was expecting them to taste more salty?
~Liege Style Belgian Waffle by Julian’s Waffle: I love to tell you how this tasted, but I have no idea. WB grabbed this and ran off and I never saw it again. He said it was “good”. The information card recommends zapping it in the microwave for 15 seconds, but we didn’t even have time for that.
~Lemon Zest Madeline by Donsuemor: These have appeared somewhere as well? They are soft and baked with real lemon zest. It’s probably best that they just included one of these ;).
I didn’t do a cost breakdown on this box, but (as usual) I wouldn’t classify it as a money saving subscription. It’s all about the experience and trying new things. I liked everything in this box, but overall it wasn’t my favorite. They should start sending out more chocolate (which I love) as it starts to cool down which is what I really love.
