Petit Vour August 2015 Subscription Box Review
Petit Vour August 2015 Subscription Box

Petit Vour is a monthly subscription box of cruelty-free beauty products, hand-picked from businesses that align quality with progressive standards.  Boxes are $15/month and they do an excellent job making sure that the value well exceeds the cost.

The Box

Petit Vour ships via USPS and takes only a few days to arrive.  Boxes ship in batches between the 15th and 20th of the month.

First Look

Petit Vour had mention that the samples in this box may seem small, but noted that they packed a punch, so I was ready!

The Information Card

The August 2015 Petit Vour theme was “You’re Glowing” and included the following items:

~JUARA Clove Flower & Turmeric Serum (0.07oz / 2mL – each) ($8.68): This is a lightweight, oil-free serum for aging skin.  You can apply it in the morning and at night and, according to the information card you should be able to see a noticeable difference after just a few uses. I have only tested it on my hand so far (my skin needs a testing break), but I thought it felt nice and rubbed in easily.

~Modern Minerals Tea Rose Finishing Glow (.001oz / .30g) ($2): This gorgeous powder gives you just a hint of shimmer while also helping to minimize the look of fine lines and wrinkles.  It’s so light that it’s almost like not wearing anything at all. You can wear it alone or on top of foundation.

~MyChelle Dermaceuticals Fruit Enzyme Scrub ($18): Ohhh, I am so excited about this one! It’s a gentle scrub made out of bamboo stem extract, jojoba beads and fruit enzymes.  It left my skin very soft and feeling great.

~yarok Feed Your Shine Hair Serum (10mL) ($9): This serum brings out your hairs inner sheen while also protecting it from heat styling.  I did think that it left a nice shine and liked that it had a little inner cap to help make sure you don’t dump half the jar in your hand.  The box also included a free sample of Feed Your Curls by yarok.  It’s not included in the value of the box and is just considered a bonus item.

All totaled I came up with a value of $37.68 for the August 2015 Petit Vour box. Yes, the samples are a bit small, but I am happy with them and always think they do a great job mixing up brands to include.
