The Box

POPSUGAR Must Have Box ships via FedEx Smart Post and generally takes about a week to arrive.  This box seemed to arrive quickly, but I don’t know if really got here any more quickly than previous month’s boxes or if I have just been busy and didn’t track it as much.

I always check out the spoilers for POPSUGAR before my box arrives so I generally know what’s coming.  There are sometimes slight variations in the boxes, but in general, if you peek, you know what’s coming.

The September 2015 POPSUGAR Must Have Box was inspired by “Travel, Refresh, Fashion Fix, Beauty Recovery, To-Go Snacks and XOXO” and included the following:

~Hudson + Bleecker Labyrinth Onyx Travel Trio ($45): This travel set includes a clear TSA-friendly pouch and two drawstring bags – one for intimates and one for shoes.  I LOVE drawstring bags for traveling because yeah, I don’t want my shoes touching everything else and well, if my suitcase dumps open on accident, I’d prefer if my undies aren’t flying all over the airport.  The patterns on the drawstring bags are fun and the clear plastic bag can be used for toiletries in your suitcase or in your tote for everyday use.

~Kris Nations “XO” Stud Earrings ($35): These are adorable!  There was speculation that we’d be receiving a Kris Nations item in this box and here it is. Some subscribers (it seems like most) received earrings, but others (like @iannab) received an XOXO bracelet.  I am thrilled with these earrings and love how simple, but still beautiful they are.

~Too Faced Cosmetics Brow Envy Brow Shaping and Defining Kit ($39): POPSUGAR announced this as a spoiler for this box in advance and the general consensus was that this was a hit.  I don’t “do” my brows (other than plucking and waxing), but I think it will be fun to play around with this.  The box includes a “How-To” guide, all the necessary tools and four customizable colors, so this is going to work for pretty much anyone.

~Briogeo Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray ($20): I’ve been on a little hair dying kick lately (I tried to go a little more red) and my hair is going to end up fried if I am not careful.  But this spray should help.  It makes your hair softer and stronger and smells light and pretty.  I tested it out right away and was pleased that it didn’t weigh my hair down or make it oily at all.  I may have even used too much.  But it wasn’t an issue at all.

~NCLA So Rich Vitamin-E Enriched Cuticle Oil ($18): Another very necessary item for me lately!  I have been seriously neglecting my cuticles so this is a welcome treat. It’s not something I would go out and buy on my own, but it’s something I probably should have.  My cuticles looked better the instant I used this and smelled awesome.  I will be keeping this on my desk so I am reminded to never neglect my cuticles again.

~Nourish Snacks Almonds to Cherries ($2): I will give these to B. I like almonds (and cherries), but these are something he’d enjoy more.  Much more.

…and well, if my suitcase dumps open on accident, I’d prefer if my undies aren’t flying all over the airport. lol 🙂 good advise!

I like the travel trio but that’s about it.

omg cant wait! you should try your eyebrows! I swear by it now and wish I learned/started doing them years ago. I went to the benefit bar at Ulta to have them waxed and the girl filled them in and showed me how to use it and instant love!!! seriously try it!!! 🙂

I just got my September box today too.

Heads up if anyone is looking for coupon codes.

I had canceled my account after my September box shipped. I just resubscribed with one of the $10 off coupons from my own September box. The 2 coupons are good until Nov 30th so I might be able to do that again to get a November box. Hadn’t seen as many coupon codes this year so this is a nice discount.

Well that won’t work out for me, I just took out a 6 month sub in July which will go through December. That’s about my luck. I am always afraid to cancel & resub b/c 1). I figure the coupon codes won’t work & 2) I think I’ll end up either missing out on a box due to selling out or end up getting shipped a duplicate. Do a lot of people do this?

I subbed just for the brow kit. Unfortunately the only item I like is the cuticle oil.

I hate it when sub boxes put earrings in. I don’t have pierced ears. Oh well. It’s hit or miss.

Can u use the same email with $10 coupon or do u have to open a new account?? Thanks

I admit this is one of my least favorite boxes. Though I could use the drawstring bags for traveling, through cosmetic deals I have enough TSA approved plastic travel pouches to last a lifetime (and prettier). I don’t think it helps I’m having a garage sale next weekend. This is getting tossed in to the sale bin. Earrings are cute but do nothing for me. Leave in Conditioners never work on my fine, thin hair. I will try the brown system and cuticle oil, and hubby will love the nuts and cherries. Not a total loss but usually I can gift items I don’t use but not really this time.

O.m.g!!! For the first time in I can’t remember how long I actually immediately deleted all emails when this months boxes review popped up!!!! I wanted to see how much will power I had and to be totally surprised when it arrived!!!!! And it was a hit!!! I just got my box today and it was such a thrill to open it and be clueless!!!! I have naturally oily hair so I will be passing the conditioner along to a friend or trading it otherwise I’m in love… Hopefully I can keep up the no cheat!!!
