SnackSack delivers better tasting, originality, and higher nutritional value, in the form of a subscription snack box, once a month. Boxes include a mixture of snacks that are organic or all-natural, non-GMO, vegan, fair-trade, or gluten-free.
SnackSack ships around the 15th of the month. If you sign up by the 1st of the month you will receive a box that month, otherwise your subscription will begin the following month.
This month’s SnackSack looked extra good!
The September 2015 SnackSack included the following items:
~Blue Corn Popcorn by Sinfully Thin: Popcorn is my newest addiction. It is just SO good! This isn’t quite as good as movie popcorn (what is though), but obviously are much better for you.
~Bean & Rice Nacho Chips: Bean chips sound so unappetizing, but they are really really good. You get just the right amount of flavor and crunch while also being all-natural, vegan, corn-free and gluten-free.
~Texas BBQ Peas by World Peas: The information card says that these will have you dreaming of brisket and ribs. I didn’t necessarily think that, but I did enjoy them. I actually think they would be a nice addition to a salad.
~Pistachios by Wonderful: I am not a fan of pistachios. I will pass these on to B to take to work for someone to enjoy. Any snacks we don’t want to go to waste or know someone else would enjoy more goes to work with him. They love it!
~Roasted Broad bean Crisps by Enlightened: The flavor of these is garlic and onion, but I didn’t find them to be “too much”. They were tasty and good and I love that the packages are portioned into 100 calorie packs.
~Bunny Grahams by Annie’s: Annie’s Bunny Grahams are one of my favorite snack to pack for L. They have no artificial flavors, synthetic colors or preservative and are made with organic wheat. The best part is that my kids will eat them. You can pack them whatever you want in their lunches, but you gotta make sure they’ll eat or it’ll just end up in the garbage at school!
~Cho-Coco Square by Simple Squares: Simple Squares are organic nutrition bars and only have 5 ingredients. This is the kind of item I *wish* I liked, but I just don’t. I have tried them in the past and just can’t get into them. They are another item that will head to B’s work.
~Snackimals Cookies by Barbara’s Bakery: Snackimals are non-GMO and are made with organic grain. They are another snack I feel good about sending to school because I know it’s something L will eat and enjoy, but is also good for him.
~Cranberry Toasted Almond Bar by The GFB: “GFB” stands for Gluten-Free Bar, which this is. It’s also vegan, non-GMO and a good source of fiber. The texture of this would take a little getting used (it’s dense and moist – yes, I said moist), but it’s better than I thought it would be.
~Toasted Coconut Chips by Made in Nature: You know, these non-GMO, USDA certified organic chocolate chips actually reminded me of dried fruit and not coconut chips. The ginger masala chai flavor was strong and….interesting. I thought I hated it and then I found myself going back for more a few minutes later, so I guess I really didn’t. Still I doubt I’d buy more.
~Butter Crisp Mini’s by Ginnybakes: Ahhh, love! These are also non-GMO, certified USDA-organic and also just delicious. They are like a crunchier vanilla wafer.
~De Liege Wafel by Belgian Boys: WB had one of these that I received in another box and loved it, so I am tempted to save this one for him too. He’s not the best eater, so when I find something he likes, I try and take advantage of it.
I didn’t do a cost breakdown of SnackSack, but this month’s box has 12 items in it, which works out to be less than $2 per item. That’s not a bad deal at all in my opinion for great snacks like this. I think SnackSack does a fabulous job of selecting tasty snacks for the entire family.
