Two questions today…

1. What book are you reading right now? I am just starting Troublemaker by Leah Remini. I am not too far into it yet, but it’s quite interesting. I am hearing good things about “A Man Called Ove” so I might try that one next. Any recommendations? What are you reading? Are you loving it?

2. What is your favorite subscription box right now? POPSUGAR is still my favorite overall box, but lately I have been loving La Ritzy, Mommy Mailbox, Box of Style and I really feel like Birchbox has been stepping up their game lately as well.  What boxes are you loving these days?  Have you tried any amazing new boxes recently that you’d recommend?

    1. So I just read You by Carol Kepnes. I found it disturbing. I prefer a milder thriller like the Girl on the Train. The next in line is the Pearl that Broke the Shell by Nadia Hashimi
    2. I’m still in love with Popsugar. I think they maybe havnt been blowing my socks off, but I really enjoy every box. I just got my November box and I’m in love withthe eyeshadow, I did not think Id like it so much.
And I’m an avid follower of Sapphire Soul, those boxes are so informative. I really love that box, and have for a while now. And I took a break from Yogi Surprise jewelry sub, I have way too much jewelry, but I still very much enjoy and look forward to the lifstyle sub. I find new things I love every month. And this last Mizzfit Quarterly box was amazing! Theres never just one box I love!

Gahhh!! I forgot the Box of Style. That is My total favorite. I wish it was monthly. So much I love about what I receive in that box. I’m wearing my Cluse watch today. I wanted to feel “glamorous” today, my daughter laughed at me and told me not to say it out loud. haha

  4. Jill

    1) Just started Carry On by Rainbow Rowell. I love YA books.
    2) Owl crate is my favorite right now.

  5. Britney

I’m not reading anything right now… I tend to binge read and take breaks. I’ve been squinting and getting headaches a lot lately and need to go my eyes checked, I think that has something to do with it too.
I’m taking a box break until Black Friday… that’s the plan anyway. However, my favorites are FabFitFun, BeautyFix, and Golden Tote!

1- Recently read “Before i go to Sleep” by SJ Watson and I was hooked from the first page & sped through it. Our bookclub read it and many really liked it: highly recommended!
2- I love Cairn Box! I’ve gotten a really cool solar lamp (for in your tent or use outside patio on warm nights, as a nightlight etc…) a buff (never tried before- but was great to keep my neck then when windy ears warm) interesting snacks and some cool things to gift to the boys/men (compass carabiner for keys, survival book). The items are so unique!

  7. Kelly

I’m starting the new John Irving novel.

Can you use Birchbox points if you cancel the monthly shipment?

I love their new LOC eye pencils and I love Popsugar. I like having gifts on hand from the items I don’t use immediately.

I just startd Who Do You Love by Jennifer Weiner

  9. Amy

I just finished reading Home For Christmas by Jo Anna Brown and I’m starting Why Not Me? by Mindy Kaling next. Leah Remini’s book is on my TBR list but unfortunately my library doesn’t have any copies of it. 🙁

I only subscribe to PopSugar so that is my favorite box but I do love seeing what’s inside all of the different book and stationery/scrapbook supplies boxes. 🙂

I’m reading Bill Bryson’s In a Sunburned Country.

I only get Birchbox right now. Trying to declutter (will be using that checklist you posted) so I don’t want to buy more stuff.

I’m excited about secret Santa, my pick email woke me up this morning, a few minutes before my alarm was going to go off. I hope she posts more info, I asked a couple secret questions.

    1. I just started reading Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes, and it is so great I just love her.

    2. POPSUGAR is my favorite subscription box as well.

    1) I just went to a talk with Shonda Rhimes last night. I didn’t realize it (my husband bought the tickets) but it was to promote her new book “Year of Yes”. We got copies of it and I’m really excited to read it. I didn’t know she was a super shy person who never did anything social. After a talk with her sister a couple years ago she decided to start saying “yes” to all these invitations and to herself. She’s a totally different person now. I think it’ll be very inspiring.

    2) Now that my wedding is out of the way and I don’t have to make 200 of every dang thing, I’m excited to try a crafty subscription box. Trying to decide between Paper Pumpkin or maybe the Simon Says Stamp box. But there are a ton of other paper crafting ones too.

1 – Currently reading “My Kitchen Year” by Ruth Reichl which is part cookbook, part memoir of how she dealt with the first year after the folding of Gourmet magazine. The book I read before that was “The Martian” (wanted to read it before we saw the movie).

2 – My favorite subscription is hands down, Rachel Zoes Box of Style. I still love Popsugar but Rachels is on a different level. I also am pretty much stopping all of my subscriptions but those two (not even getting the Popsugar special boxes anymore)…even stopping my scrapbooking and food subs as I just have TOO MUCH STUFF lol.

  14. Jen

    1. Currently reading China Rich Girlfriend. I read the first one (Crazy Rich Asians) in just over a day! I am hooked.
    2. Ya know… I am kinda having a down moment with subscription boxes. Honestly, I was loving Little Lace Box (don’t care what others say, I loved it) but this last box really, really let me down. I just re-subscribed to Pop Sugar after a break. The spoilers for this month looked awesome, but then once I saw the rest of the box, it was a let down. Even my Ipsy this month was terrible for the first time ever.
