Fun Run Box December 2015 Subscription Box

Every month Fun Run Box will send you motivation, inspiration, and swag in a box! The first month of your subscription, FRB will get you started on the right foot with a training tech shirt, challenges, and other goodies you’ll need to get out and run.  Subsequent boxes will be filled with gear and monthly challenges to keep you motivated and inspired all the way through the first series, when you will have earned your finishers shirt and medal.  When you make it that far, it will be time to start series two of the challenge!

B is kind of a runner (he gets into streaks where he will run non-stop and then won’t run for months), so I opted for the Intermediate box.

Training Plan

Fun Run Box includes a training plan and a little training plan scorecard to help you track your runs.  Yeah, you could track them online, but sometimes being able to see it written down is so much more satisfying.  Here is what the box included:

~Fun Run Box Tech T-Shirt: Your first Fun Run Box comes with a tech t-shirt to wear on your runs.  Subsequent boxes include fun running themed challenges and new themed swag.  This really does look like a t-shirt you’d get when you sign up for a race.

~Snacks: The box included a white Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cliff Bar, an Emerald 100 Calorie Pack – Cocoa Roast Almonds and Jelly Belly Sport Beans.  These are all great snacks for B and I love that they didn’t include any gels in here (only because B doesn’t really like them).

~Supplies: In addition to snacks, the box also included a nice assortment of supplies including Body Glide (hugely important), Banana Boat sunscreen (also HUGELY important), Hyper Go After Sports Wipes (good if you can’t go straight home after your run) and ChapStick with SPF!

Supplies

I couldn’t do a cost breakdown for Fun Run Box, but I thought it was well rounded and would be a nice gift for a runner.  They have plans for runners of all levels, but I think it would be most motivating for those who are just getting started.

This is a neat concept! I used to be a regular runner, and have managed to finish 6 half marathons. (Never a full! No thank you!) But I’ve gotten out of the habit. This might be a nice way to stay motivated.
