ipsy is $10/month and sends its members a beautiful Glam Bag with 4-6 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products selected for you based on your ipsy profile. Their bags always have an incredible value (well over the $10 cost) and I am always amazed at how they do it. I don’t always love everything in the bags, but I always always think it was worth my $10. They also offer a rewards system for subscribers. You can earn points by reviewing the items you get in your bags, sharing your ipsy bag on social media, etc. You can them redeem your points for products (often items which were featured in previous months) on the ipsy website.
ipsy ships around the 10th of the month via DHL Global Mail. I generally expect to receive my package a week after they ship.I actually redeemed some ipsy points this month so my ipsy shipped in a box instead of the normal pink bag.
I always week at the contents of my glam bag before it arrives! ipsy early access generally happens around the 5th of the month and you can review the entire contents of your bag at that time.
The December 2015 ipsy theme was “From ipsy with Love” and included the following items:
~The Bag: This month’s bag was a fun quilted red vinyl (?). It’s a tad smaller than the normal ipsy bags that are sent out, but I love it!
~Pacifica Power Of Love Natural Lipstick ($9.99): Pacifica products are awesome. They are 100% Vegan and cruelty-free and are very nourishing. My SIL loves lipstick and is trying to only use all-natural, cruelty-free products so this will be great for her.
~tarte cosmetics smooth operator™ Amazonian clay finishing powder ($14): This finished powder helps keep your makeup in place. It’s lightweight and does a great job of sucking up oil.
~Beau Gâchis® Paris Concealer Brush ($12): This brush is used to apply liquid and cream concealers. I don’t like expensive brushes (well I like them, but I lose them), so I love getting brushes in ipsy!
~Jersey Shore Cosmetics® Vanilla Bean Anti-aging Lip & Hand Polish (1oz) ($25?): I am ridiculously excited about this! It’s a lip and hand polish and left my hands super soft. It also smells amazing. This is labeled as 1oz and the Jersey Shore website sells a 1oz jar of this for $25, so I used that price. It seems high to me, but I’m not sure what else I’d use?
~Marc Anthony Hair Care Coconut Oil & Shea Butter Deep Conditioning Treatment (50mL) ($1.20): I just dyed my hair and it’s super soft (too soft actually) so I am going to hold off on using this for now. It is color safe though and smells amazing!
All totaled I came up with a value of $62.19 for the December 2015 ipsy. All of the items in ipsy may not always be a good fit for me, but they do always make it worth my $10!
