~Good evening! If you got hit with all that snow from Jonas, how are you hanging in there? How much snow did you get?
~I think I have found my next craft project. I stumbled across this Anthropologie Inspired Wool Wreath last night and got the supplies for it today. It seems so easy and the supplies didn’t cost a fortune (I have been known to spend more making something than it would cost to purchase) so we’ll see! I will let you know how it turns out.
~I am planning on updating the subscription box list again this week and am wondering if anyone has heard anything about BeautyArmy or Fair Treasure? It seems like BA is still accepting orders, but subscribers haven’t been receiving anything the last few months? Their Facebook page is down, but their Instagram is still up and there are a lot of complaints on there. If you know anything or are a subscriber, when did you last receive a box? As for Fair Treasure, I can’t seem to find a subscription sign-up anymore? The shop is still active and they have a few gift boxes in there, but I can’t see any subscription options. If you subscribe to them, have you heard anything? Any other boxes out there that may have closed / revamped?
~The kids and I tested the new Cinnamon Bun Oreos and I am not a fan. I didn’t think they tasted much like cinnamon buns. Someone on Instgram said her husband thought they tasted like cookie butter and they are right – they really do. The boys thought they were great though!
~If you missed my post on it the other day, I am giving away a POPSUGAR + Target Must Have Box, so make sure to go enter!
That’s it from here. I hope you are having a great Sunday night!!!
We got about 3 feet of snow from Jonas. :p
OREOS (plural) doesn’t need an apostrophe. It’s NOT Oreo’s. Why do people do this? Grammar 101.
I should know better because I read that article that came out around the holidays regarding the use of apostrophes.
I’m a book editor and I love your blog because you write reviews that are actually helpful and you treat your readers like friends you’ve invited over for coffee.
Also, your writing has a distinctive style that reminds me of A Prairie Home Companion or Fargo (I know, neither has anything to do with Michigan). Love that!
Thank you! I wouldn’t blame you for wanting to get your red pen out though ;).
I love a prairie home companion!!!
The internet needs more people like you 😉
Maybe the Oreos own something. Perhaps they are possessive Oreos. You don’t know.
Betty – I sure hope EVERYTHING you’ve ever posted on the Internet is PERFECTION in terms of grammar. If you could just post everything here so we could check and make sure and then comment about it (and possibly put you on blast) that would be great…mmmkay?
Jen works hard to maintain this blog for us to read, while juggling other duties (if you read regular you’ll also notice that she’s a great wife and mother, and dedicates lots of time to her family and friends). She’s human, and so are grammatical errors.
OH NO! I just found a grammatical error in my reply. AHAHAHA! oops!
*regulary*
This bothers me too. I learned that rule in elementary school.
Fair Treasure shut down their monthly subscriptions and are doing a “revamping.” I had a yearly sub with them up until December.
Thank you!!!!
Thank you! And your dog is adorable.
Ah, Jen, you’ve got the patience and politeness of a saint. Between Laura on your other post and Betty here, people are really feeling pretty snarky, huh? I love your blog. Don’t always comment, but I always read. (That’s not a full sentence, and I’m gonna leave it that way.)
Beauty Army is suuuuuper shady. I don’t know if they exist, but if they do, I certainly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. You should look into it. Oy!
I read some of the posts and what a mess! I always thought about subscribing to test them out, but never did. I am pretty glad.
I am a subscriber…I’ve gotten a few boxes from them but often skip the month because their samples are the same almost every month. However, I’ve gotten some excellent boxes from them with full size products that I use. I think my last box that I got was in november. I saw that they are sending out Shoptique gift cards with every box last month and this month.
There’s no snow in Oklahoma. Thank you for all your hard work with your blog. I’m sorry that people haven’t been nice lately.
Thanks for the kind words!
We got mostly ice here. So ice and then a couple inches snow and then more ice needless to say NC is on lockdown. LOL They cancelled school for tomorrow since all the melted stuff is refreezing tonight but N is tracked out for 3 weeks so doesn’t really bother me.
oh and we were totally laughing that it was warmer in Denver for the game then it was here. My brother was rubbing it in but his time is coming I’m sure. LOL
You guys have more snow than we do. Crazy! It will probably snow here in April and you guys will be at the pool!
It appears that the weathet is bringing out the worst in some people today. In Chicago, no snow I kinda feel left out, lol! Keep safe everyone and have a nice cup of hot cocoa with extra whip cream.
I am jealous of the East Coast! Why aren’t we getting this snow??
Houston we had a chilly few days where I had to hunt up a jacket and today it was a glorious sunny day in the 70s. I hate being cold, so I am not missing snow. However, my youngest brother is getting. Married in two weeks and I have to go to Amarillo for that and they have been having lots of yucky snow.
Hey Jen,
Thank you for all your posts & reviews. The comments on the other post today were totally out of line. I don’t always comment, read all the daily posts from Monday ramblings to Sunday sentiments and always look forward to them! Please keep doing what you do and don’t let the Debbie downers affect you.
Thank you lady! You are so kind!
I feel like a lamo because my husband and I live on the Central Coast of California and the last time it snowed in our town was probably at least 20 years ago! It was 65 degrees today but one of my best friends relocated after college to the East Coast and she is sending me tons of pics so I’m having a vicarious snow day through her!
I don’t know what’s with the trolls here lately! I sort of love it because I enjoy reading all the positive commenters that it brings out but seriously, I don’t know what’s gotten into some people! I guess some people are just unhappy and for whatever reason feel the reason to spread it around.
I don’t know either!!!
Don’t be jealous we got over 2 ft and with the wind drifts and the way the plows plowed in the cars the cars were easily under over 3 ft of snow it took over 4.5 hours to shovel out. And there’s no snow day today :(And there’s rumblings of another possible storm at the end of this week. I am jealous of u… Grass I miss you!
Well, when you describe it like that I am not jealous! Snow drifts are awful to try and deal with!
Im not sure how much snow we actually received because of the heavy wind causing drifts and bare spots. But id say over a foot. The kids were so happy.
My back wasnt quite as happy. Shoveling eek!
And i think my favorite oreos so far are the birthday cake and red velvet. I do not think they can be topped.
With the increase of rude commenters these last few days I can’t help but think it is just one person trolling and using different email accounts. #byeFelicia
Amanda, I was thinking the same thing! I just don’t understand how some people are so rude! I’ve never met Jennifer but I believe that she’s an awesome person. Her posts are so entertaining and sometimes I feel like I do know her! Someone like that doesn’t deserve the condescending attitude she has gotten lately.
