~Good morning! Did you stay up late last night for the Super Bowl? I have to say, I was disappointed with the commercials. Well, mainly I was just disappointed there was no Clydesdale commercial! I mean there was, but not the normal kind they do. I did like the Amazon Echo, the Doritos ultrasound and the Heinz ketchup ones, though. Those weiner dogs running through the field made my night!

~Lots of subscription boxes are coming this week. I am expecting POPSUGAR, Mommy Mailbox, Birchbox, GlobeIn, Hamptons Lane, Hello! Bliss Box, EggDrop and a few others. I am hoping we get the sale date for the POPSUGAR Resort Box this week too!

~So I have heard on MUT that Sephora has pushed the public launch of their Play! subscription box out until January 2017 (it was supposed to be this January I thought).  If you’ve heard anything about this one, let me know.  I know they allowed some people to invite friends so they could sign up for a subscription, but I can’t recall hearing if people ever got the invites on that? I so want to sign up for this box, so I really hope that the launch isn’t pushed that far out.

~B and I watched Burnt with Bradley Cooper over the weekend.  It was quite good – better than expected.  Being a chef seems like a very stressful job.

That’s about it from here!  What do you have going on this week? What boxes are you expecting?

They didn’t show the full version, but the Super Bowl Babies commercial is great. The NFL released the full version last week and I have watched it a couple of times already. http://youtu.be/9KqekigARfE

Ahh,I was a little creeped out by that one! Luckily the Lions never won the SuperBowl so there is no way I am a superbowl baby ;).

I get Play! And got a notice that I could invite four friends but it looked like they were supposed to be local. I can try to invite you if you’d like or if there is anyone from Columbus Ohio who wants an invite I can try. I didn’t pay enough attention to see if there was a deadline to invite.

I haven’t yet made it to a play party but I do get invitations for those. Maybe it is the play parties that stop them from doing wider invitations?

I really liked the Ryan Reynolds Hyundai ad. Where is this neighborhood?!? XD Commercials aren’t as good as they used to be, though. My husband and I were talking about how we missed the ones that used to have plot lines that lead up to the big reveal in the Super Bowl commercial. Super Bowl commercials used to be a big event. Now they’re just kind of meh.

A lot of people are booing it, but we really liked the halftime show! I thought Coldplay did a great job with all the colors and flowers and that beautiful stage and the audience participation message at the end. So cool! My only complaint was, I wish the camera panned out more because the umbrella people were doing some cool choreography on the sides we barely got to see because the camera kept closing in on Chris Martin. We know what Chris Martin looks like (I want the pants and sneakers he was wearing, btw), show us what else is going on! 🙂

Same thoughts on the Budweiser commercial… I mean doesn’t everyone look forward to some kind of warm, fuzzy feel good commercial when it comes to the Clydesdales??? That commercial they made this year was so dark and just not as impactful as usual (for them). It would have been like Doritos making their commercial bland, unnecessarily serious and unfunny. Oh well… Maybe the horses were over it and needed a year off?
Also, Jennifer in Columbus, I’d love an invite to Play/Sephora, if you don’t mind! 🙂 I’m a couple hours away but hopefully in the range of it working? Please let me know if possible. My email is tjmister at yahoo dot com. Thanks so much in advance! 😉

My niece and nephew were two of the Seahawk babies in the super bowl babies ad. It was fun to watch the process of it all come together! But I was disappointed in the other commercials, nothing was as clever as past years.

the commercials were such a let down, you can’t have a SB without the Clydesdales!…..I DVR’ed James Corden’s show after the game because I wanted to see him and Elton doing carpool karoke (really good)….he showed his Pepsi commercial with Cindy Crawford…hilarious…they should have aired it during the SB!
