bluum March 2016 Subscription Box Review + Coupon Code
bluum, is a monthly box of goodies for moms and babies.  Products are hand-selected based on your child’s age (from pregnancy to preschool), gender and developmental stage.  They now have an option that allows you to select the items you wish to receive in your boxes which I think is awesome. You don’t have to pick, but the option is there if you’d like to. I have gotten bluum for years and while the boxes have had their ups and downs I have generally been pretty pleased with them and have stuck with my subscription (which is for my 3.5 year-old son – aka W).

bluum ships via FedEx Smart Post and generally takes about a week to arrive.  I typically plan on receiving it during the second half of the month.

I didn’t realize it until I opened this box, but I never went in and made my selections for this box.  I recall starting to look through the items online and then never got around to finishing.

My March 2016 bluum box contained the following items:

~Frenchie Socks: These are a little too big for W right now (they are for 5-6 year-olds and W has tiny little feet), but they will come in handy down the road.  They are exactly the style I would buy for him on my own, so I was supper happy to see that bluum made this choice for me.

~Dreambaby Cord Wind-Ups: We actually do not have any blinds with cords, but if we did I would certainly use these!  I will be gifting them to the next friend of mine who has a baby because these are a safety must.  Blind cords are so dangerous for little ones.

~Skip Hop Walk-Along Stroller Handle ($8): This is another item I likely wouldn’t have selected on my own.  I don’t have any little ones who still ride in a stroller, but I do think the idea is cute (if you can get your toddler to walk nicely and hold it anyway).

~Kid O Simmer & Saute Set: OMG how cute is this?  I absolutely love it!  You can use it to prepare a feast of turkey and corn or cook whatever other play foods you have on it.  I can’t wait to get cooking!

I couldn’t do a price breakdown on this month’s bluum (many of the prices were not available online), but I thought it was worth the cost.  The items may not have all been a perfect fit for me, but it’s not bluum‘s fault I don’t have blinds with cords.

Did you get bluum this month?  What was in it and what’d you think?   If you are interested in subscribing or just want to learn more, click here.  And if you are a new customer, you can use the code “GETBLUUM” to get $10 off your first box.

I got my first Bluum box of a 6 month sub. I went and picked my items early on to get a high value box. Then I opened my box and it only had 3 of the 4 items I picked. The highest value one was missing, a swaddle blanket, RV $18. Instead I got a $3 canister of compostable diaper wipes. I was very disappointed, I was really looking forward to the blanket. I emailed CS and they said they could add another item to my April box. But I’d already made my choices, so when I went to add something I lost all my original selections which sucked. I’m currently 6 months pregnant trying to stock up for a newborn. The selections they’ve been giving me are odd, few are great or age appropriate. Lots are for toddlers and older kids, it makes no sense. I like it because the box only cost me $12 with a Groupon and I get to pick my items.

Those stroller handles are awesome for parking lots or busy places like malls during the holidays/zoos/festivals/etc. I hook it to my purse and tell my four year old to hold on. He doesn’t want to get lost either, so he mostly obliges. Then I have both hands free! We’ve been using it with him since he was two. Sometimes he and my six year old even fight over it. Haha! Ours is a different brand, but I looooove it.

This is a good box. I feel that since Bluum started allowing you to pick your items, they have really stepped up with their products. I need one of those stroller handles for my toddler. I’m going to go look for one, I love SkipHop products.

Those blind cords would be PERFECT for my cats.
I’ve been looking for something like that for ages – right now I just have the cord wrapped around the top part of the blinds – looks terrible but it works!
