Friday’s Letters

Dear (real) Easter Eggs, What does everyone do with you after the hunt is over? It seems like a huge waste to throw you away, but it also doesn’t seem like a good idea to eat you after you have been outside overnight?

Dear W, No, I don’t know why the Easter Bunny doesn’t wear pants.  Yes, I agree that it’s weird he wears a vest, but no pants.

Dear Adidas Avenue A, I cannot wait for you to get here!  The spoilers look amazing!

Dear The New Real World Cast, I actually think I am going to enjoy watching all of you.

Dear My Eyebrows, Have I overplucked so much over the years that you have just stopped growing in places?  Is that possible?

Dear My InBox, Will you ever be cleaned out?  I fear the answer is no.

Dear HomeGoods, I have no idea why you ask if I found everything I was looking for as I am checking out.  I’m not even sure myself what I am looking for when I go.

Dear L, Thanks for being such a good friend at school.  You are a really good kid ;).

Spread the love

Hiding you eggs at night?!?! What? Do y’all Easter egg hunt in the early morning? Maybe it’s a Texas thing, but we don’t hide them until the day of… We shuffle all the kids into the front yard usually after lunch and hide them eggs in the back yard while they aren’t looking. I don’t know that we ever thought the Easter bunny hid the eggs, we always knew it was the adults. However, we lay out special Easter presents from the Easter bunny out the night before. I’m sure it has something to do with our weather too! LOL

Yeah, the bunny comes here at night and leaves the baskets and hides eggs at night. I guess he could come early in the morning, but he doesn’t like to get up early…….

    2. Jennifer

And then yes, everyone gets up and runs around and finds their baskets (they are hidden too) and eggs.

That’s really cool and probably more fun for the kids anyway. Plus the Easter bunny probably doesn’t have kiddos nagging him about what time the hunt is all morning. Ha! It’s usually either pouring rain or too hot for us to leave them out long! I hope they have lots of fun tomorrow! 🙂

Dying laughing at the Homegoods line! It’s so true!!

It’s not just HomeGoods. I kind of hate getting asked that question at the supermarket or Target. What if I say no? (Hey, sometimes I don’t find everything. My Target only has the kitty litter I use in stock sometimes.) Are they going to hold up the line and go back and find it for me? I’ve never actually heard anyone answer that question with a “yes.” (Well, OK, once I asked at PetSmart if they had more of a certain kind of kitty litter in the back. I waited about 20 minutes for an answer and never got one so I just left.)

The Avenue A spoilers look amazing, and I want it nooow, but mine is coming until monday :(, I was hesitant because of the price but I think we will get a very good things for the cost, I was not sure about the next one, but I think I will need to decide after other 2 hehehe.
At homegoods I usually get there thinking I just need one thing, but who am I kidding, I know I will need a lot of things I did not know I need it 😀
Have an amazing weekend and Happy Easter

I had my mom cracking up about the No pants. Kids are really smart. I really like the adidas box, but their shoes don’t well for me so I passed, but if Nike…….

So along those Easter Bunny lines… Why does Daniel the Tiger wear pajama pants, but then when he gets dressed for the day, no pants? Makes no sense at all.

I am in Texas and my parents would hide our eggs overnight. We would eat the hard boiled eggs and we never got sick

We never hid the real eggs, just the plastic ones. My siblings with kids follow the same tradition. We’re in Phoenix though so there’s no way anyone would want to eat hidden real eggs anyway! My siblings and their kids make so many eggs to dye though and I have no idea why.

I don’t work at HomeGoods but I do work in retail and I ask everyone if they found everything ok. I genuinely want to make sure customers leave happy and if they say no, I follow up by asking if they asked anyone to look in the back for what they were looking for. If yes, there’s nothing else to do. If no, I’ll look whatever they want up on our inventory and if we have it in stock, I’ll page for someone else to go grab it, if the customer still wants it. But my store is really interested in customer satisfaction. And it’s great to see people beam when you take that extra step to make them happy.
