Dear B, It was fun having you home for the last week. We’ll miss you this weekend!

Dear Costco, You were fabulous yesterday. So many treasures!

Dear L, I cannot believe you are going to be 8 in a week. EIGHT! OMG!!!!

Dear Mom, Happy (early) Mother’s Day!

Dear SnapChat, I love you.  I don’t love posting on you as much as I love watching other people’s snaps.  I love getting glimpses of other people’s days!

Dear The Programmable Crock Pot, Are you worth it?  Because man, you look cool.  Like I feel like I could “cook” some amazing stuff with you.  But are you really that much better than my old school two setting crock pot?  Maybe. Maybe not.

Dear Jimmy Fallon, The puppies should be on the show nightly.  I can’t get enough!

Dear The Challenge, I am so glad you are not in Spanish like I thought you were going to be.  So glad.

Dear Allergies, You can go away now.  I am all set with you for this year.  Thanks!

Spread the love

My crockpot is programmable in that I can set it for a time (say 4 hours on low) and once the 4 hours is over it switches the temperature to warm…it makes a huge difference because if I’m gone at work longer than I need the food to cook, I’m good to go! The warm setting keeps it hot so the food is safe, but it definitely helps things not to overcook or burn.

I once wished I had one which I could program to turn on at a certain time (like if I left for work at 8am and wanted it to turn on at 12) but then I realized that the food would be sitting out in the crockpot on the counter the whole time until it turned on, and that would be gross haha 🙂

Ha! That’s what I always thought was the point of the programable one and then when I got it I was like, “Oh, I can’t really leave raw meat out for five hours…” Duh! But yeah, you just do it the way you described. 🙂

The programmable ones are nice, but if your electricity blinks while you’re out it goes off and the food goes bad. My poor mom learned the hard way! :-\

We got a fancy crockpot for our wedding. Only use the high low warm off settings…you do what you know. Lol
