The Big Kid Mode is geared more for adults (or families with older children 12 plus) and is more about Awesome higher quality games and activities. We received the Awesome Family Pack for review.
Awesome Pack ships via USPS during the last two weeks of the month.
Awesome Pack always selects such fun items, so we were all excited to see what was inside.
The August 2016 Awesome Pack included the following items:
~Perfection ($9.99): OMG Perfection! I had no idea that this game was still around. You set the timer and then work to match the pieces to their spots on the board. If you finish in time, you shut the timer off, and the next player tries to beat your time. If you don’t, it pops, and the pieces fly everywhere. This is a mini version of the original Perfection, though. As I recall, that one had a lot more pieces. I could see older kids mastering this real quick.
~Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x kid robot ($4): These will make great backpack charms for my boys (I have an 8-year-old and a four-year-old). Awesome Pack often includes two of the smaller items – one for each of the kids. I very much appreciate this as they’d so be fighting if there was just one keychain.
~Mega Bloks Minions (~$8): How cute are these little sets? You can combine then with other Mega Bloks sets or just play with them by themselves. We love the little minions!
~Batman Jumbo Coloring & Activity Book ($1): As much as I wish my boys loved coloring, they just aren’t as into it as I am. Every once in a while, they’ll want to color though, and I’ll have this ready when they do!
~Star Wars Duels Card Game ($6.30): This is a classic game of war with a Star Wars twist. We haven’t gotten a chance to play this one yet, but it gets great reviews online, and I think my eight-year-old will love it.
~Pixel Pops ($4.99): I used to think I loved Pixel Pops until I attempted to make a few things and realized I just don’t have the patience for it. My kids don’t either so we’ll be passing this one along.
~Activity Book: All Awesome Pack‘s include an activity book with puzzles, a journal to write about all the fun you have been having and additional activities to do.
All totaled the August 2016 Awesome Pack had a value of a $34.28. That’s on the low end for Awesome Pack (they are usually over the cost of the box), but I also used current online prices and not retail prices. I was surprised the value was so low when I calculated it because I was impressed with the selection in here.

Oh my god, as soon as I saw Perfection the song from the commercial popped into my head? I still remember every word, -15-20 years later!
