bluum Subscription Review + Coupon Code - May 2017
bluum is a monthly box of goodies for moms and babies.  Products are hand-selected based on your child’s age (from pregnancy to preschool), gender and developmental stage.  They now have an option that allows you to select the items you wish to receive in your boxes which I think is awesome. You don’t have to pick, but the option is there if you’d like to. I never went and made my selections this month, so bluum to make the picks for me.

bluum
Cost: $34/month

bluum ships via FedEx Smart Post and generally takes about a week to arrive.  I typically plan on receiving it during the second half of the month.

As I mentioned, bluum made my selections for me this month, so I had no idea what would be included in here.

My May 2017 bluum box (for W who is a 5-year-old boy) included the following:

~The Boy Who Called Wolf by Jess Stockham ($7.94): This book has fun lift-up flaps and beautiful illustrations.  The flip-ups are the best part, and no matter how old you are, you know you want to lift those.

~Drink in the Box ($11.99): Drink in the Box is an eco-friendly and reusable juice box container.  It’s not a juice box holder – you can use this for any drink you have on hand. It’s dishwasher safe (obviously this is huge) and is BPA and Phthalate Free.  We will happily use this!

~Skip Hop Walk-Along Stroller Handle ($8): This doesn’t appear to be sold by Skip Hop anymore, but I knew it looked familiar.  Turns out they sent it to me in my March 2016 box as well. W was too old for it then and way too old for it now.  Maybe if I had a little one still in a stroller and needed to make sure he didn’t run off, but I doubt I could talk him into holding on to it the entire time anyway.

~Jean Pierre Pure & Simple Groovy Grapefruit ($8.29): These towelettes remove dirt, oil, and makeup without rinsing. I go thru a ton of these.  I am constantly cleaning swatched makeup off my arm, and I use them on my face at night.  These smell good and I was happy to get them!

~lil’ labels Seal-n-Stick ($8.99): These are designed for bottles, but they will work on just about anything – including lunch boxes.  They are dishwasher-safe, microwave-safe, bottle-warmer-safe, freezer-safe, waterproof and BPA-free. We can always use labels for school, so these are great.

All totaled I came up with a value of $45.21 for the May 2017 bluum box.  The value was there, but I feel like they struggle with boxes for older children.  The majority of their items seem to be geared towards younger children.

What do you think of bluum?  If you are interested in ordering use coupon code “getbluum” to get $10 off your first month.
