ipsy Review - August 2021
Typically ipsy will try and pack everything in your bag, but it didn’t all fit this month.

ipsy Review - August 2021

My August 2021 ipsy included the following items:

CIATE LONDON Watermelon Burst Hydrating Primer (10mL) ($7): This primer refreshes and moisturizes your skin before applying makeup. It helps to give your foundation a better grip and a smoother finish. It works as a nice way to “blue” the skin alone too!
ipsy Review - August 2021
SHEA BRAND Shea Natural Lip Balm ($8): Send me ALL the lip balm.  Not even kidding.  This one is unscented, super moisturizing and made from only four ingredients (shea butter, coconut oil, vitamin E, and beeswax).
ipsy Review - August 2021
PUR On Point Mascara with Hemp (.12oz) ($11): I haven’t even opened this yet and don’t plan on it. I have lash extensions and don’t use mascara, so if mascaras come sealed I like to keep them sealed. That way I can donate or give them to a friend and know it’s in perfect condition.

ARACELI BEAUTY Bella Sponge ($14):  I can’t recall, but this may have been my sample choice this month?  I am always happy to get a new clean sponge.  I don’t use one daily, but they can still get gross and grimey even if you only use one a week.

LOTTIE LONDON Sunkissed Coconut Scented Bronzer in Suncatcher (2.5g) ($2.08): The final item in the bag was a bronzer.  It’s a little dark for my skin tone, but may work after a spray tan for an even more bronzed look.

The Bag: According to Joanne Wong, the ipsy bag designer, August’s design was “inspired by the outdoor travel adventure and 2021’s pre-fall fashion show with natural colors and animal textures”.  I can see that here.  The lime green interior is a great pop of color against the neutral cream color and faux reptile texture.

All totaled my August 2021 ipsy had a value of about $47.  Not my favorite bag ever, but it was well rounded and a nice overall value.
