I mentioned here that I got an e-mail to try out the bluum box for $1. And duh, I jumped all over this. $1 for a box of goodies in the mail? I’m in! In case you don’t know, bluum is a monthly subscription box full of samples for moms and babies (ages 0-12 months). My August bluum box arrived yesterday (this month’s theme was Puttin’ on the Ritz) and here is what it included:

~Skin Free Sleep Tight Pillow Spritz: This is an all natural blend of essential oils that is supposed to lull “you and your baby” to sleep. Umm, my baby and I don’t sleep together and if we did, we wouldn’t use pillows would we? Anyways, I am going to give this a try myself because I wouldn’t mind falling asleep faster.
~Caldrea Hand Soap (2 samples): This is the same soap that I received in my August Birchbox.  Again, I am not thrilled with the packaging of the sample, but I do know that I will like the actual sample itself.
~GO Energy for the Skin Cleaner & Facial Moisturizer: According to the card I received in the box, GO is all ginger, all natural and is the first skincare treatment line specifically formulated to improve blood circulation and effectively bring energy and life to your skin.  Hmm, this sounds interesting.  I’m not really sure I believe it, but I’ll try it!
~Gin Gins Super Strength Carmel Candy & Original Chews Ginger Candy: I have no idea if I like this not or not since B was reading the card and demanded I give him the candy so he could eat it.  And he did.  Maybe he was feeling nauseous?  Who knows?  But he enjoyed it.
~Triple Cream:  We love Triple Paste here, so I have no doubt that we will also love this! This was probably the same I was most excited about this month.  WB has super dry skin, so I am anxious to test this out on him.
~Mary Kay Lash Love Mascara and Oil-Free Makeup Remover (and a mini makeup bag): Mascara is probably my all time favorite piece of makeup, so I am excited to give this a try.  And while I rarely wash my face, much less wear remove makeup, but I do like cute little bottles of pink stuff!

I wasn’t expecting much from bluum, but I was very pleased with the contents of my box.  And, right now on Plum District, you can buy a 3-month bluum box subscription for $18.  Normally, it’s $12/month, so you’d be saving 50%!  Why not give it a try??  If you are interesting in giving them a try, click here to get 50% off your first box.

Is there a subscription box you haven’t tried? Seriously, though, I love living vicariously through you with all of your surprise boxes.
