1. If you were stuck on an island what are the two material items you would want to have?
~Lip Balm (either Kiehls Lip Balm #1 or the new Nivea Lip Butters).  OMG being stuck on an island with dry lips?  I’d probably try to swim to some other island in search of some.
~A Hair Tie.  Ugh, wet hair stuck to my neck all day every day?  No thank you.
Oh and I am going to pretend I was wearing a bathing suit and cover-up (with a bottle of sunscreen in the pocket) when I got stuck on the island.

2. What are two TV shows you’d watch over and over?
~Newlyweds.  I am still holding out hope that Nick and Jessica will somehow get back together.  I loved that show.
~Sex in the City.  I can watch SATC over.  And over.  And over again.  I know every episode and in and out, yet I don’t care.  Best show ever.

3. If your house was on fire what two things aside from family, pets, etc would you grab?
I think about this question all the time.  That’s probably weird, but I want to be prepared.
~Laptop.  I would be lost without it.  I mean, I have all my pictures backed up eight million different places, but I love my laptop.  Plus, I’d have my iPhone with me already since it’s basically attached to my person at all time.
~My Emergency Kit.  For lack of a better name, I have a kit with important things I would need quickly if there was ever an emergency.  Think insurance policy numbers, passports, etc.  You get the idea.  If it’s a pain to replace, I’m taking it with me.
The rest?  That’s just stuff and can easily be replaced.  Oh wait, I would also take L’s stuffed doggies (aka big doggy and little doggy) because, well, the sh*t’s gonna hit the fan if we don’t have those.

4. What are your two most favorite articles of clothing?
~Old Navy Pullover.  I have the scrappiest grey pullover from Old Navy (actually I have two) and I am obsessed with them.  I’ve had them for years and they are so icky, but I could care less.
~Black cardigan.  I think I have blogged about it in the past, but I have a black cardigan from Nordstrom that I am also obsessed with. I cannot find it online, but I always see it at the store.  It comes in a ton of colors, has 3/4 sleeves that kinda button to hold them up and is just perfect!

5. What two movies that you saw in the past year would you recommend to us?
Oh my.  I am so not qualified for this.  I never go to the actual movie theatre and only watch movies when they come out on Netflix.  Meaning I haven’t seen Argo.  Or Zero Dark Thirty.  Or Silver Linings Playbook.  But since you asked, here’s what I’ve liked lately…..
~“End of Watch”.  It was just good.  Plus since I just saw it last weekend I actually remember I liked it.
~“Magic Mike”.  Oh don’t judge me.  You know you liked it too.

6. What are your two biggest guilty pleasures?
~Diet Pepsi.  In addition to being insanely delicious, it’s also horrid for you.  I’m well aware of the awful chemicals in it and even if I think about them while I am drinking it, it still does not bother me.

~Trashy Magazines.  US Weekly, Star, Life & Style.  I love them all.  I know most of the time the stories aren’t totally true, but do I care?  No.  I REALLY enjoy reading trashy magazines, drinking a Starbucks and getting a pedicure.  So many guilty pleasures at one time!

A hair tie is a great idea! My hair goes incredibly frizzy when it gets wet (especially in salt water). I also like your emergency kit, I may have to put one together for myself and the family – it sounds very useful! x

  2. Jessica E.

I think about what I would grab in a shit hit the fan situation too. You are not the only one! Stopping by from Sunday Social.

  3. Caitlin C

Umm Magic Mike is definitely the best movie ever!!! Haha, I loved it. I went to see it with my mom and she went back a second time to see it in theaters. Diet Pepsi is a guilty pleasure for me as welll.. 🙂

  5. Jency Kuriakose

Yes Yes Yes, I love those trashy magazines! I pretend and roll my eyes at them but when I am at checkout – I am one of those people who will choose the longest line and read all about Kate’s dress and pregnancy or Jessica’s weight loss.

I liked Hunger Games, did you see that one? I liked it but forgot about it. What does that say about the movie, though?

Doing my Sunday Social rounds. By the way, I found Nelly because I used to come here. Thanks! This is fun (when I like the Qs) Thanks for stopping by.

Good call with the hair tie! Another good one I never would have thought of.

I love trashy magazines too. They’re the only way I get through standing in long lines at the grocery store :p

so funny! We both wanted lip balm! I was assuming I was wearing a bathing suit and cover up as well. Newlyweds was a great show. I find myself watches episodes on youtube occasionally still. Magic Mike was exactly what I though it was and I did enjoy it. I’m not ashamed. 😉

Hey! Did you seriously go to all the blogs in the link up? All of them?
I tried going to a few and when I comment, I see you there too and I tried picking anyone randomly and I did atleast 7-10 blogs and you were there already! How? Hoooowwwww?
You are so good about this!
By the way, I am not creeping and following you around the web – I swear!

  9. Sarah

I didn’t even think about stuff to save in a fire that the kids might want. Ughhhh. I can’t pick just 2 anymore!

  10. Kara

I don’t judge. I haven’t seen Magic Mike yet, but I plan to as soon as it hits Redbox!
I totally didn’t think of a hair tie. Smart Thinking!
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I totally have a diet pepsi addiction too. It used to be diet coke, but my husband is a pepsi guy and he converted me. (He couldn’t get me to switch from diet to regular though!)

  12. Candice Selby

I LOVED Newlyweds too! I was kind of obsessed. Lol.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I have a pullover that I wear all the time too! It’s a northface and it was my boyfriend’s. He gave it to me two years ago because it didn’t fit him and I wear it all the time!

I have all my “difficult to replace” documents and such (car title, passports IDs social security birth certificate etc) in a fire safe box!

  15. Sophia

I also have an emergency kit. I didn’t think to assemble one until a few years ago when my apartment building almost burned down. I saw a lady with one and I thought it was an amazing idea. I’ve had one ever since.

    What a great blog!!

I am disappointed that I didn’t think of the hair tie and would be dealing with the inability to control my locks. I wear a hair tie on my wrist every day. If I forget it, woah buddy!

I also entered your giveaway! Some of my favorite things are strawberry chapstick and cute notebooks!
