Ramblings of a Suburban Mom

Today I’m smiling because:

~Eeek! I got the boys professional pictures back and they are perfection. I wasn’t sure I was going to buy the disk of images because I wasn’t expecting her to have gotten, well, much, but I should have known better! Sorry for doubting you Emily! I should have the full disk soon and of course will be posting like crazy.

~I placed my first thredUP order in over a month last night and I think I got some amazing deals! I swear, I could browse that site all day.

Love!
Love!

~I received the Vaseline lip blame tins that I had Stacey over at Five Minute Style pick up for me in the mail yesterday.  She’s in the UK and I so love beauty products (and all products really) from other countries and these are fabulous.  I really want to go over to Canada soon and just browse around their beauty aisles and see what goodies they have that I am missing out on. It’s not the U.K., but it’d still be fun and it’s much much closer.

The U.S. needs these.
The U.S. needs these.

~L had his Thanksgiving Feast at school yesterday and both he and his Nana (his special person) had a great time!  And the tie?  Totally his idea.  Ahhhh, I die.

Check out that plate.
Check out that plate.

~B’s Christmas gift is coming today!  I cannot wait to see it!  B’s going to have to wait though ;).

~Our felt tree (I bought the kit from Target) was a complete hit (*) and L has stopped asking me every day when we are getting out decorations up!

They love it.
They love it.

~I have a few friends who are pregnant and due in the Spring and I can’t wait to go snuggle on their little babies.  B still wants another, but I’m getting old and just don’t know about all that.  I am still hoping that the stork just drops me off a baby on the porch one day.  Stranger things have happened.

That’s it from here!  What’s got you smiling today?  Any big plans for the weekend?

(*) I actually had to iron the pieces of the felt because they were all creased which didn’t make me smile.  But looking at it makes me smile since I know it was worth it and it looks way better than it would  have had I not ironed.
Spread the love

I moved 3 years ago from UK to US. I miss the shops , the fashion and the beauty products! I still have my Rosy Lip Vaseline balm. It is ok , gives a nice colour for my lips but doesn’t help for dry lips.

What are some of your favorites??

      1. Rita Morgan

For shops: Harrods, I used to live not far away from it and that store was my second home. The White Company http://www.thewhitecompany.com/ I love most of their stuff. Intimissimi is an Italian lingery shop.
Beauty products: DEODORANT !!!!!! which truly no white marks on clothes, unfortunately I haven’t find in the US. One or two claims until I put my black top on….. Sanctuary Spa Bodycare, Soap and Glory

Ah, I die at the tie, too! And AGREED on goods from other countries. Is there a subscription box that has the best goods from abroad? If not, let’s start one!! 🙂

I only know of some that have snacks, not really beauty stuff like this? Someone needs to start one!

One of my favorite things to do on vacation is to browse drug stores and grocers! Yes, my family thinks I’m strange. My favorite was Boots in London, but I also seem to remember picking up candy at a Walgreens.

Love the Thanksgiving feast! The food looks really good, and of course L is rocking that tie! 🙂

The more you talk about this felt tree, the more I get the urge to jump in the car and head to Target to get one for our playroom. I just know the kids would love it!
