~Happy Monday!  I don’t know if I am happy that the weekend is over or sad!  It was a super productive few days here.  We ran errands (so many errands), the kids played with their friends, WB spent his first night in a big boy bed (go WB) and we all got to sleep in a little too!  It was a good weekend.

~Birchbox has released Part 1 of their August Sneak Peek Video! It reveals the 4 items that subscribers will be able to pick from this month to customize their box. They are: Noir Long-Wear Eyeliner in Forever Noir, Laura Geller Cool Lids Cream Eyeshadow in Silver Sands, ModelCo Shimmer Bronzing Powder and theBalm Cosmetics Stainiac.  I am kind of leaning towards the Stainiac, but we’ll see.  They haven’t announced when the selection e-mails will be going out, but make sure to keep an eye out for it!  The video also revealed that the August Birchbox Book Club pick is: Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) by Mindy Kaling.  I will be adding that one to my reading list as well!

~I am expecting quite a few subscription boxes this week including WB’s Citrus Lane, a Citrus Lane Mystery Boxbluum, Stitch Fix, GLOSSYBOX, Loot CrateLip Factory, BOXYCHARM, The Bride Box, Escape MonthlyNerd Block Jr. and maybe one or two more that I don’t know about?

~B and I (yep he let me help) spent a bit of time putting together our IKEA purchases (they are STUVA benches) for the playroom.  We have been having some trouble with lego storage / building space and I am SO hoping that this does the trick.  It should give L enough space to have a few builds going at the same time, space for his creations and space to store whatever.  And WB will still have space for his trains and, if he’s lucky, L might even help him play with legos too ;).  We still need to hang two shelves which are going to be for his lego guys which should help a ton too!  Plus it will look cute to be able to see them all.

I love it
I love it

~We haven’t figured out when it’s happening yet, but the garage sale preparations are under way.  B was like lets do it next weekend!!  Umm, too bad you have drill and won’t be home.  Okay, then let’s do it the following weekend!  Umm, yeah, you are going out of town  that week.  It’s hard to fine a weekend, but I think that if we have everything sitting in the garage all ready to go it will make it a ton easier.  And if it sits there for a few weeks, so be it.  At least it’s not in the house anymore!

~I am so behind on my winner notices!  Eeek!  Without delaying anymore, here goes:
Just for Fun Friday Giveaway: Cynthia Reyes
FabFitFun Summer Box: Adrienne Dorsey
Orange Glad 3-Month Subscription: Rachael Juedes
Fall Nina Garcia Quarterly Co. Box (#NGQ04): Jenny Birk
Congrats to all the winners!  You have been e-mailed.  If you didn’t win, don’t worry, there are always giveaways new coming!

~I must tell you guys, you are all geniuses!  I posted in one of my reviews that I always end up wasting stuff that comes in packets because I don’t know how to properly seal it again and got a ton of amazing ideas.  Travel sized containers, binder clips, a storage container in the shower to hold products, etc.  THANK  YOU!  I picked up some travel sized containers and am going to start transferring stuff that comes in larger packets and will use binder clips for the small stuff.

~Did anyone see Sex Tape (the movie – I don’t want to know if you actually watched one) over the weekend? Or any other movie for that matter?  I really want to see that and also need some recommendations on movies out on DVD / On Demand. I always want to watch a movie and then I just sit there and can’t remember what I want to see!

Is this movie good?
Is this movie good?

What’s up for your Monday? Any big plans this week?  And of course, what subscription boxes are you expecting?

This week I will be receiving Kiwicrate, Nerd Block Jr, Pet Box, Escape Monthly, and the Fantasy Box. There may be a couple others coming.

I was surprised last week to receive Wantable Accessories on Saturday. Tracking showed it to be arriving this Wednesday. Other surprises from last week were Bijoux (hated), Kelly Kit (voucher subscription), Loot Crate (my 15 year old absolutely loved), and Bark Box. All arrived with either tracking not updated or no tracking.

I’m still an Amazon Prime shipping girl at heart. I’m amazed by shipping times and the travels that the boxes take to reach me. Still it was exciting to receive Wantable early. Fantasy box shipped fast. I ordered it with the Gilt voucher on Thursday and it is to arrive today.

I like ordering like a bunch of little things at a time from Amazon Prime. I feel like I am getting my money’s worth that way!

Looks like a couple more this week. Next month will be less boxes because of my older son being ill last week. Add Birch Box, Beauty DNA, Nicky Hilton, and possibly Wantables Intimates and Homegrown Collective this week.

Love your playroom! Were the desks STUVA benches also??

    1. Jennifer

Yep, everything is the STUVA benches. We just added drawers to two of them! We got 4 total benches.

Do you know when Birchbox will Release their add on options for August ? I really enjoyed the pair of headphones this month 🙂

Oh my well now I need to go to IKEA. We are having the same Lego issue here. We had the carpets cleaned Friday so all toys that did not fit in a specific bin are sitting in my garage right now. This week the boys and I are doing a major purge and reorganzing them all. They are currently working on the GeoTrax sets. LOL We have a folding table set up now for the Lego builds but I would love something that matches a little better. They were using my kitchen table so the folding table at least gets it out of my kitchen but still isn’t the set solution.

Listen you need to go. I will give you the breakdown of everything we got if you want. We got that shelf I posted on instagram there too. It stores so many lego guys. I love it.

I got my Escape box over the weekend and wait until you see what next month is going to be — I think you’ll be happy! My dog got her first Spoiled Rotten dog box and she loved it. I think she had the best delivery of the week! I am also waiting for Glossy, Boxy, Klutch, Hammock, a “couple” of Memeboxes – and I’m not sure when the Haute/Nordstrom beauty bag thingy ships, but that too. As well as some killer shoes I found while I was browsing Hautelook. I probably should get to a meeting…is there a Sub-Box Addict meeting anywhere? LOL

I saw that it’s going to be Paris and I cannot wait!!!!!!!!

cute playroom! LOVE IKEA! I lived in Ontario, Canada for 6 1/2 years (husband is Canadian) and had my first experience with Ikea there. I quickly became addicted to it.. Had to leave it behind when I moved my husband to Las Vegas is 2008 (I was born and raised here)..Last week IKEA FINALLY announced they are building a store here! It won’t be open until 2016…I guess I have already waited 6 years, what’s another 2?! LOL

    1. Jennifer

Canada has so many IKEA’s! We used to go to the Toronto area to go to IKEA or to Chicago before we got one here in Michigan. That is awesome that Las Vegas is finally getting one. You’d think they would have gotten one sooner.

      1. Kimm Jones Furlotte

yes, we shopped mostly at the one on the Queensway in Etobicoke (near Toronto).. Our closest ones now are either in California or Arizona both about 5 hrs away… I have so many friends here who have never been to one. I’m just as excited to see them getting to see one for the first time.. 🙂

Have you gotten a shipment notification from Glossybox, or are you just expecting it because it’s the last week of the month? I subscribed at the end of June, so they still sent me the June box, but it took forever to arrive. Just wondering if their boxes usually ship late in the month. I’m expecting Citrus Lane this week.
Did you get Urthbox? I thought you’d gotten in on that deal (Plum District, I think). It was waiting for me when I came back from New York Sunday, and I was very impressed! They had sent a shipment notification about a week ago, but it was through Stamps.com, and it didn’t seem to provide actual tracking info. So I was pleasantly surprised to find it along with Bulu Box (eh) and Wantable Makeup (great box this time!) waiting upon our return from Long Island.

    1. Jennifer

No, but I know it’s coming! They have a back door shipping method you can use to track your box and I know it shipped on Friday. Sometimes I actually get my box before I get the shipping notification. But yes, they do generally ship later in the month.

My son is 2 as well and had his first night in his lightning McQueen big boy bed last night too. It makes me happy and sad at the same time!! I’m hoping unmentionably cheeky and graze make their way to me this week. I wish we had gotten your bonus book with citrus lane! It looks awesome. My son unfortunately hated his camera and does not want to even try to look through it! Hopefully it grows on him!

    1. Jennifer

How did he do in his big boy bed???

      1. Tristian

He did good! But of course this morning at 5 was trying to climb into our bed! This is going to take some getting used to. How is WB doing?

        1. Jennifer

Ahh, he loves getting out and running around. He’s so happy with himself that he just laughs and giggles and we all do the same.

  9. Puttoei Talawat

This is off topic, but I really want to tell you.
Do you remember mention couch to 5K in one of your newsletter about 8 weeks ago?
I never run before, but you inspired me to start the program.
I just ran my first 5k today. I’m so proud of myself.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

    1. Jennifer

CONGRATS! Now you are going to inspire me to restart it because I never finished! Are you going to stick with running??

      1. Puttoei Talawat

Yes, I will. I never thought I would enjoy running.
For the past two months, running is the best part of my day.
        Right now I run outdoor.
But I’m moving in 6 weeks and may have to run in a gym then.
Not sure if I would like that.

  10. Kate

    The playroom looks amazing!

As far as movies, I did not see Sex Tape, but we saw Boyhood over the weekend. Its the story of a boy and it spans over the course of 12 years, using the same actors. So you see this boy go from age 6 to age 18. Really interesting idea and the movie was so good. Starring Patricia Arquette and Ethan Hawke as his divorced parents, they both were so good, as was the girl who played his sister (who goes from age 8 to 20 or so). I think having little boys you will like this movie. My boys are all grown up, so of course at the end when he is 18 I was all teary eyed. lol. Let us know what you think of Sex Tape if you see it, I want to see it too but would like to hear a reliable review first.

    1. Jennifer

I will report back if we get the chance to go!
