~We have a pretty busy week lined up. B starts school tomorrow and L starts next week which means we’ve got Meet the Teacher this week and have to get back into going to bed at a normal time. B also has a follow-up surgery for his eyes (he had Lasik this winter and the doctor wants to give them a fine tuning) and, of course, since it’s Labor Day Weekend we will likely be headed up-north.
~Let’s see, this week I am expecting Birchbox Man, Nicky Hilton Fancy Box, my ipsy Mystery Bag, Mantry, Hammock Pack, Escape Monthly, Lip Factory, Hazel Lane, and hopefully GLOSSYBOX and Socialbliss, although I haven’t gotten tracking on those yet. And don’t forget that the PopSugar Must Have Fall Style box is shipping this week too! I can’t wait to see what’s in that one!
~Chicago did a little number on my 10 Day Cleanse (which I think will actually be the full Challenge), but it was worth it. The only problem was yesterday and even then it wasn’t too out of control. I ordered the SkinnyLicious Soft Tacos at Cheesecake Factory which actually were delicious, skipped the bread and didn’t eat all my cheesecake. Things could have been much worse. I looked up my “usual” order there on MyFitnessPal and, umm, the Tomato Basil Pasta with Chicken has an obscene amount of calories. Â Even if you turn that into two meals that’s a lot!
~Has anyone started thinking about Halloween yet? Â L says he wants to be the same thing he was last year (a vampire), but I am going to see if he wants to be something else as well for school (like a superhero or something). But I have no idea about WB. Â I thought he’d want to pick, but he just looks at me like I am crazy. Â Â If you have kids, what are they being?
~Did anyone watch Keeping Up With The Kardashians last night? Â I started out watching the VMA’s but got bored (and missed Blue Ivy) and turned on the Kardashians (so many choices on cable). Â And what do you know, they were on vacation again. Â I wonder if I could be one of their assistants for the next trip? Â I would guess they don’t travel without their assistants and I think I would be perfect for that!

My sister is visiting until Thursday. I should be receiving GeekMe box (today), Quarterly Toys & Collectibles Box 1, Birchbox Man, Escape Monthly, and Ivy Kid. I’m going to return Quarterly Toys & Collectibles because it is not what I thought it would be. The theme is our love of video games retro theme. I forgot to mention that my younger son is already planning for Halloween. He wants to be a dragon.
I started asking my daughter about Halloween and she wants to be a pirate! Although at 2 1/2, I’m sure she’s going to change her mind a few times until October.

Don’t laugh but N wants to be a toilet for Halloween and have people put candy in his bowl. No idea where that one came from but it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere so M may need to figure out how to make that. LOL C says he is going to be a pirate again. Last year he was Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates and a couple years ago N was Jack Sparrow so we have both of those costumes he can pick from. We shall see.
I ffd through the VMAs and I agree they were pretty tame. What I did notice is that most of the presenters where old enough to be the performers parents. LOL It was like they didn’t know how to make it work for everyone and the ages where crazy different. The most odd thing was Nicki Minages dress thing to open the show. The rest was just blah

I really want Audra to be Rainbow brute for Halloween. Though I am not sure I can make a costume and have it not look crazy. I am not paying $100 + for a costume on Etsy. Plus I need something she can wear in the cold weather.
My husband used to LOVE rainbow brite! I bet you can find something or piece something together for less!
My son is going to be Buzz, since he loves Toy Story and the Disney store has the cutest costume.
This week we are heading down to Disneyland and CA Adventure, I’m so excited and looking forward to it, we leave on Wednesday.
The only subscription box I am STILL waiting for is Bluum, but it should be here while we are on vacataion (of course).

My husband and I already bought our boys their costumes. They are going to be Jake (from Jake and the Neverland Pirates) and Captain Hook. We just have to buy their swords. I also got supplies to make the Halloween goodie bags and supplies for the teachers’ gifts as well. I love Halloween!

my kids are going to be sheriff callie, deputy peck, and toby.
I don;t think it’s abnormal? If you go to a good place it’s free. They just don’t want to do TOO much the first time so they leave some room for adjustments.
Halloween is by far my favorite holiday and I usually know what my daughter is going to be before hand (she’s been a marshmallow Peep, “cookies and milk”, and Buzz Lightyear) but I am totally stumped on what she’s going to be this year. I love finding fun costumes on Etsy but they always take awhile to get here so I need to think fast. We always dress up like zombies for the Denver Zombie Crawl but she needs something a little less gory for preschool and trick-or-treating. 😉
