Ramblings of a Suburban Mom

Today I’m smiling because:

~Trunk-or-Treating was a success! We decided at the last minute to go with a Michigan State theme and I think it turned out great. And L’s new and improved Minecraft costume was a huge hit!

And there's WB in yet another of L's old costumes.

~Today is the Michigan State – Michigan game!! GO GREEN!

~The coolest box of wine ever (and Jimmy Kimmel + Horse Pants) were on Shark Tank last night. I’ll be smiling even bigger when a BeatBox is in my fridge!

~The weather has been gorgeous lately.  We have been soaking it in because we know it’s not going to last.

~I won an eBay auction for a vintage Hot Wheels ramp!  It’s fantastic and the boys just love it.  Why why why don’t they make them like this anymore?

Fabulous!

~We’ve already been getting spoilers for various November subscription boxes!

~Pick Your Plum Grab Boxes are going to be available today at 9am EST!  I’m going to pass on this one, but my last one (although random) did make me smile.

~It’s almost November which means it’s almost Thanksgiving, which means it’s almost Black Friday!  I am SO looking forward to seeing what deals the subscription box companies have this year.

That’s it from here!  What’s got you smiling today?

Did you make the Minecraft costume? or did you buy it somewhere? I have the head and sword, but I was going spend my Saturday making a torso and arms… Its awesome!!

I wish I could take credit and say I made it, but I ordered it from etsy. They send you all the cardboard pieces (including the head) with velcro pieces attached. They also send you “skin” which you glue on yourself. It took us maybe 45 minutes to put it all together? We had a head from Target, but my son wanted the body too and I knew I would never be able to make it!

I had one of those hot wheels ramps when I was 3 yrs old. I have tried to find one for years now but I didn’t know what it was Called… So cool! 🙂

Love your hot wheels ramp. We have a newer one that keeps following apart but the boys like it so I guess it works.
I haven’t watched last nights Shark Tank yet but hopefully today. It looks like a good one.

Do you have a link to what Black Friday sub box sales were like last year? I didn’t know anything about sub boxes until earlier this year. Thank you!

Well that costume should have won a prize! It also hurt my eyes! haha! Was he comfortable in it? love it! I also love the ramp. At Molly’s school a lot of their toys are older (and in such good condition) and I love it! Nothing is made that way anymore! 🙂
