~Happy Thursday! The kids are pretty excited about Halloween, so it’s been a wild week around here. Well, L’s excited and whenever he’s excited so is WB ;). We carved pumpkins last night, did a little grocery store trick-or-treating earlier in the week (we just kind of stumbled into that) and have plans to watch “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” tonight. And then of course tomorrow is the big event and L’s school party + parade. Should be fun!
~I don’t have too many more subscription boxes coming this week, but I do have a few. I am still waiting on Hazel Lane, Little Lace Box, Wantable and Five Four Club. There are also a few shipments in My USPS.com Dashboard that I can’t identify, so hopefully they are subscription boxes as well.
~I finished up Shopaholic To The Stars last night and, like all Sophie Kinsella’s other books in this series, I loved it! Such a fun easy read. I hope there is another Shopaholic book right around the corner. Not sure what I am reading next, but it just might be The Andy Cohen Diaries!
~OMG the World Series last night? That was intense. I was routing for the Royals, but that pitcher for the Giants, Bumgarner, well, he’s beyond good. I couldn’t not be on Team Giants once he went in. That was more than just impressive.
~So you know how I mentioned that Target has their new holiday initial mugs out? Uhh, it looks like they have an entire line of initial stuff. Trays, dessert plates, frames, wine stoppers, throws, candle holders, etc. Hopefully they sell out fast or never have my (last name) initial because otherwise I am in trouble. I bought the “J” coasters, but I wasn’t thinking straight and need to exchange them.
~Has anyone ever made Avocado Pasta? It combines two of my great loves and now that I found this recipe, I am dying to make it.
~Don’t forget that if you got the September PopSugar Must Have Box and haven’t used your Nike gift card yet, it expires on 10.31.14 (as in TOMORROW), so make sure you use it. Also, if you are waiting on a reply / response from me, it’s coming I swear! Going to bed earlier is good, but not so good for my productivity.

This week is bonkers and my brain being all over the place today just isn’t helping. I love those plates and cups. I may need to check my Target and see about getting some L plates and a J mug 😉
I have made a version of the avocado pasta and it is creamy and delicious! I am a lemon addict so I doubled the lemon juice… I also made it another time and subbed the basil & lemon with cilantro & lime and used it as a sauce for fish tacos…. so good! 🙂

Well, I have tutoring hours tomorrow for the class I TA for. They’re virtual hours, so people might video call me for help and I’ll have halloween makeup on. I also plan to start the book I just got from Target. It’s Yes Please by Amy Poehler, thanks to Cartwheel app, I had an extra 20% off plus the 5% from my Red Card! Yay! haha

It’s a crazy week. Today my 6 year old is allowed to wear his costume to Tae Kwon Doe and then will go to the mall for trick treating right afterwards. We still have one pumpkin to carve, finishing up the Kiwi Crate Halloween votive lights, and it’s going to be a snowy wet mix Halloween. I’m almost done with Shopaholic to the Stars too. I need to find another light hearted read afterwards. I bought the book at Target after seeing it wasn’t in the PopSugar box.
I’m surprised that your Little Lace Box isn’t here yet. I love my box! I think the only boxes I am waiting on are a Wantable accessories that I bought last minute because they gave me a discount code, the first KreationKrate Kids Kind Craft which I received tracking for today, and HomeGrown Collective at some point.
It’s going to be a nasty mess here tomorrow night too. UGH! I am going to need to bundle the kids up under their costumes!
Maybe it’s not here yet because I get it sent to me to review?

I forgot to mention that my Eva Scrivo Quarterly Box showed up today! It’s crazy busy here so I will post the spoilers later this evening.
They probably won’t have my last name initial either (Y) which might be for the best! When does Target’s Halloween stuff go on clearance? On Haloween day or the next day?

Can you read the Shopaholic if you haven’t read the previous ones? I stopped at Shopaholic gets married and haven’t kept up on them.
I’d say they are super easy to pick up on. Basically they had a baby in between the gets married one and this one. That about sums it up.
Things have been crazy busy for me too…my assistant was on vacation, everyone in the office including me is or has been sick, there was that vacation in Vegas, and oh yeah, my baseball team was in the playoffs and OMG GO GIANTS!!!! Amazing run for us and as I mentioned on Twitter I expect a ton of kids born in this area nine months from now to be called Madison LOL. Seriously, it was so fun to follow my team in the playoffs. Now if I could just get my beloved Sharks to follow the Giants lead…..

Jen – You wrote before that you are curious what is in the Eva Scrivo’s Quarterly Box. I hate having boxes lying around the house and am in the processing of putting away the items in this box and decided to post the spoilers now. I’m going to read the letter at Tae Kwon Doe today.
Here is what I received for the theme “Backstage Beauty” I did peak at the letter and part of it is about creating a “Modern Bardot” hairstyle.
1. Kerastase K V.I.P volume in powder 6.8 ounces. It’s a backcomb effect finishing spray strong hold. Not sure why it’s says powder when it says spray.
2. Eva Scrivo gold metallic headband.
3. Obliphica Seaberry Serum 2.2 oz
4. Morgan Taylor Professional Nail Laquer in Give Me Gold. – Metallic Gold color.
5. Armour lip gloss in Stardust. I don’t know how to explain it, but I think you put it on top of your lipstick/gloss for a shimmer or sparkle kind of look.
6. C5C-R Teasing Brush
7. 5 tip sheets in color on high quality paper. I haven’t looked at it yet.
I’m excited it is here and wish I had the time to give it more attention. I will later tonight!

I enjoy seeing pictures of your cute family, and as moms I know we’re usually BEHIND the camera, but you should throw in some pictures of yourself every once in a while! 🙂
