This week I am saying So What If….

~I NEED to get some pictures printed so I have something to put in my new frames.  I miss the old days when you didn’t know what your pictures looked like till you got them printed.  Well, I don’t miss it that much.
~I am kind of jealous we didn’t any snow like so many parts of the country did.
~I’m not too fond of these new people on RHONJ.
~I want to make a teddy bear costume like this for Baxter.
~We still have some Halloween decorations up.  The boys like it though so maybe it’ll just stay up for them to enjoy.
~I am still not over the Spartans loss from last weekend.
~I went to the PTO meeting this week just to observe and ended up volunteering to co-chair one of the school’s largest events.  Oopsies!
~I still miss Google Reader.
~I really want to go bowling.
~I am fascinated by all the stops some of my subscription boxes make on their way to me.  I have one that has already stopped in 7 places and isn’t even close to getting to me.  Why?  I don’t get it at all!

I got a bunch of pictures printed recently.. it was a nightmare! I wanted them ASAP so I could throw them in a scrapbook and ship them to my boyfriend’s mom, so instead of using shutterfly I uploaded them to walmart’s site for “1 hour” photo. They weren’t ready until the next day! I ordered the “true digital” because I did not want any cropping done. So I go to pick up my 24 hour “1 hour” photos, and some kid that works there is thumbing through them and I notice that there’s this white border all over them! I’m annoyed, and he says “oh that’s how it is” (fyi, that is NOT mentioned on their website) and offers to cut the white borders off for me with their cutting machine (no way was I going to pay $25 for 150 pictures and then cut them myself!), but it’ll take an hour. So I agree and wait around a few minutes while he’s talking video games to some customer (not recommendations, but like what he’s playing) go shop around and come back about 45 minutes later. He’s gone and there’s another guy there. He asks if I need help, I say I’m just waiting for my pictures to be cut and he says okay it’ll be about an hour and I tell him I’ve already waited 45 minutes. He apologized, got to cutting, and said about 10 minutes- and in 10 minutes it was done! I wasted too much time at walmart, grabbed my pictures without inspecting them and head home. I went out of town for the weekend and when I went to scrapbook Monday, I noticed the pictures were all janky- different sizes and absolutely cropped! Heads were missing and a few of my pictures weren’t even there. I ended up calling and talking to the photo manager, he said he’d refund me and reprint them for free but was leaving soon and he’d leave a note.. so I re-uploaded them, per his instruction.. and whaddya know? Same issue! A lady called me and told me that and then just told me to come in and print them on the machine myself under 4×6 instead. And I did. They weren’t even cropped, I was amazed. Of course to do the refund, they needed a manager and managers at Walmart are like unicorns, very rarely seen.

Moral of the story: Don’t expect good quality pictures from Walmart’s True Digital.. and I’m probably going to just keep using shutterfly from now on! Sorry that turned into a novel.

Ok, Oh my God, I’ve shown that pup video to all my friends and husband this past weekend and told them I need that for Chewie as he looks just like that dog. If you find out where to get it or how to make it please let me know! It is amazing.

Oh we have a total cemetery still out front in my yard. M and N are talking about leaving it up and making a Nightmare before Christmas theme for our Christmas decorations. I’m sure our HOA is going to love that. LOL

I quit watching RHONJ altogether. As soon as I saw Dina I knew I was done, and those idiot twins just sealed it.
Cutest teddy bear dog ever – except for the glasses.
I, too, wish we had snow. As it is here, in SoCal, it’s in the high 60s and heading for the 70s this week. Not complaining, but I’d really love some weather…anything but hot Santa Ana’s. Last week we were still in the 80s – not fun.
I also miss the anticipation of seeing how my photos came out. Now is better because I am the worst picture-taker so checking digital helps (somewhat), but that first look in the envelope was always so much fun.

We are not over the loss either! My husband (who played at MSU in the early 90’s) was picking up our daughter at gymnastics last night and another Dad said that we were “man-handled”. We didn’t play well but were not “man-handled” and I thought my husband was going to lose it. 😉
