Barkbox February 2015 Subscription Box Review
Barkbox February 2015

Today was a great day for Baxter and Buddy because their February 2015 BarkBox arrived!

If you aren’t familiar, BarkBox is a monthly subscription box for dogs. Each monthly box contains a combination of 4-6 treats, toys, and hygiene products that have been hand selected and approved by Scout (the dog), head product tester for BarkBox. Boxes can be customized based on the size of your pet (I get the Small box for the furries) and you can add an additional toy to your box for an extra $9/month.We have been getting BarkBox for ages and have always been satisfied with them.

BarkBox ships via DHL Global Mail (starts out with DHL and is delivered by the Post Office) and took under a week to arrive to me.

I could tell the theme of this one right away and thought it was perfect!

The Information Card

The February 2015 BarkBox theme was “Mardi Gras” and included everything you need for a furtastic Mardi Gras party!  Here is what was inside:

~Harvey Barker Mardi Gras Crinkle Mask ($10): As soon as I opened this I checked to see if it had a strap like a real mask.  LOL.  It doesn’t.  Which is good because the dogs obviously wouldn’t be able to see out of it.  It’s squeaky and crinkly and the dogs like it.

~Think! Dog Crawfish Jerky ($7): These aren’t the best smelling treats, but the dogs LOVE them! They were seriously all over this box when we opened it this afternoon.

~Aussie Naturals Salmon Quarter Cigar ($3.99): This *might* just be the smelliest dog treat we’ve ever had.  Baxter and Buddy love it of course, but man, it STINKS!

~Delca Jester Ball ($7): This one is a BarkBox exclusive.  I actually broke this trying to hear the howling sound described on the information card.  I didn’t think it howled really, but it for sure was loud.  I think I like it better now ;).

~PetSafe Catfish Po’Boy with Chicken ($7): We haven’t opened these yet, but I have a sneaking suspicion that they stink too.  LOL.  They are best confused within 3 days of opening so we are saving them until they finish some of their current open snacks.

All totaled I came up with a value of $34.99 for the February 2015 BarkBox.  I am completely blown away by the themes they have been pulling off lately.  So well done and so so creative!  I love BarkBox!

Did the fish stick leave reside or anything? I just don’t want my pup chewing it and leaving marks on my furniture or carpet. (This has happened before.)

I enjoyed the BarkBox also but I find it funny you thought you broke your jester ball; mine never made a noise from the beginning. I did not know it was suppose ti make a noise until I read your post and then read the info card. My dogs love it but anything that comes of a BarkBox is a hit for a couple weeks. New and different!

I think that this is our favorite BarkBox, as everything was a hit! We got the same two toys, but different treats. Thank goodness we got a bully stick, as that’s her absolute favorite! Our jester ball doesn’t howl either, just squeaks. And Harry Barker can do no wrong in our house, as his toys last longer than most!

    Hi there!
If you don’t me asking, do you normally get different bark box every month? I’ve ordered twice for my nephews up north and both times were the same box. The first time was in February, so I can understand the Mardi Gras theme. I just ordered them another one this month (May) and it was virtually the same box, except the bag of treats was replaced with a water bottle. I’m pretty disappointed, I figured it would have been Memorial Day themed. I’m just wondering if you’ve ever gotten repeats? I was considering the subscription, but am having major second thoughts. Thanks for your time!
