MissionCute March 2015 Subscription Box Review
MissionCute March 2015 Subscription Box

MissionCute is a monthly subscription box full of cute stuff, but with a mission. Each MissionCute box comes with at least 2 items made by small-but-mighty artisans and local businesses and each month they partner with a different nonprofit to help promote their mission.  50% of the net proceeds of each box are donated to the chosen (you can vote on it) monthly nonprofit (this month’s partner is 3seams) and MissionCute also sponsors and works on a service project each month in their community.

The Box

MissionCute ships via USPS and generally take just a few days to arrive to me.  Boxes ship on the 15th of the month. If you subscribe before the 10th of the month you will receive that month’s box.  If you subscribe after the 10th of the month, your subscription will start the following month.

MissionCute has quickly become one of my favorite subscription boxes (I should do an updated favorites post soon) and I love seeing what they send.  They have sent all sorts of cute things in the months I have been reviewing them and I don’t believe that I have ever been let down by a box.  They send high quality boxes and I have found them to be very timely with shipping and I haven’t heard of any customer service issues which is always important.

The Information Card

The March 2015 MissionCute partner is “3seams” which is a social enterprise dedicated to creating jobs in the developing world.  By teaching sewing skills to local men and women, they help them to create a product line sold in the local market place and in the United States.  This can set them up with a lifetime in the textile industry and can change the trajectory of their future.  Here is what the box included:

~MissionCute Accessory Bag ($8):  You could use this bag as a makeup bag, a stationery case, or to stay organized in your purse / diaper bag.  I am going to use mine to store a notepad, pens and lip balm – all my essentials.

~Rifle Paper Company Pocket Notebook ($7): And this in the notepad I am going to put in my new little bag!  It’s got rip out pages and a little pocket inside to store business cards or other small notes.  Rifle Paper Company items have appeared in a few different subscription boxes and I am always impressed with the quality of their paper and their gorgeous designs.

~Carbon Crusader Pencils ($4): These pencils say “Make Good Choices”, “Make Today Count” and “Mark Your Mark”. I love cute office supplies so I these are great for me.

~Do More Of What Makes You Happy Print ($15): I have a 5×7 frame in my office that I use just for my MissionCute prints.  They send great ones and I love being able to change them out every month.

~3seams Boho Twist ($8): The Boho Twist can be worn as a necklace, as a headband, a belt or a bracelet.  Basically however you want.  I personally love it as a bracelet.  The ends aren’t connected, but you can tie it to help it stay on or you can just wrap the ends through the other pieces which is what I did with mine.

On Me

All totaled I came up with a value of $42 for the March 2015 MissionCute.  This was another great box from them in my opinion and I loved their picks.  I think I have similar tastes to the MissionCute curators because I would select the majority of the items that they send on my own!

If you are interested in subscribing or just want to check out more / look at previous boxes, click here.  They also offer a Mini MissionCute box for $20/month which consists of 2-3 hang-curated items which may be another option if you aren’t ready to try the full box.
