~Good morning!  We are having a pretty nice week around here.  Yesterday was Chuck E Cheese (which is pretty much WB’s Disney World) and Costco and a few nights ago went hit up a local restaurant for kids nights!  Paws, the mascot of the Detroit Tigers was there and L loved seeing him.  WB?  Not so much.  He’ll come around eventually though.

This Week
This Week

~I mentioned on Monday that we were going car shopping this week and we did.  I ended up with a white Ford Explorer.  I am super happy with it so far and love that third row of seats.  And so do the kiddos.  So much space.  It also drives like a dream and I am super impressed with the push button start.  Who thinks of these things?  I love it!

~Something I don’t love as much as I thought I would is Brownie Batter Oreo’s.  They smell like Brownie Batter, but I didn’t think they tasted much like it.  B said they tasted like chocolate.  If you eat just the cream they taste much more brownie batter like, but the cookie part gets in the way and makes them chocolately.  I think on a golden Oreo cookie they would be amazing.

~I still have quite a few subscription boxes I am expecting this week. I should be getting PopSugar Must Have BoxBOXYCHARM, ipsy, BirchboxYogi Surprise, Dottiebox Mini, Beauty Box 5, Love With Food, Julep Mystery Box, Kiddable, SnackSack and some others I can’t think of off the top of my head.

~Has anyone given any thought to Halloween costumes yet?  Yeah, I know it’s only August, but I’m seeing Halloween everywhere these days. Whose idea was it to put Halloween stuff out so early anyway? I love seeing creative homemade costumes that people come up with and think I am going to try one for L or WB (or both) this year.  I figure if I start soon I may actually be done with it by Halloween ;).

~I am still debating an overnight trip to Chicago this weekend – mainly to check out the Birchbox Road Trip they’ll have there, but also because it’s one of the last summer weekends we have nothing going on and why not?  The kids would love it and if I can find an insane deal on Priceline, it might just happen.

That’s all from here!  What are you doing this weekend?  Are you expecting anymore boxes this week?

I like the push button start. My key fob (one of them) the battery died. I was really confused. It was like i forgot how to be a normal adult and stick the key in the key whole. Who knew the push button pops out (at least in my car thats how it goes).
I received the two birchbox CEW boxes and was so happy. It was a nice deal and i used my points and chose also the virtual reality box. Its the simple things, my kids have been mystified by it haha.
oh boy this summer is flying by. I think i will have to cross some things off my list of things we were going to do. But we have been doing so much. Maybe try to plan better for next summer. And no garage sale yet haha.
Go to Chicago!!! I think its funny you are driven to go there for Birchbox. But. I just love Chicago in general.

As a kid, I LOVED oreos. And my admiration for them continued well into my college years. But now as a 32-year-old, I don’t like them….at all. They taste like chemicals to me. Great for my waistline, sure, but the kid in me mourns the loss of oreos. They really were quite tasty. Which is just my long way of saying that I don’t have any interesting in trying the brownie batter ones. Haha.

What’s funny is when you get used to the push button and drive someone else’s car that doesn’t have one, my mom thinks it’s hilarious when I “phantom push” in her car. 🙂 However, if the battery dies in my key I haven’t the slightest how to turn on my car without changing the battery!! That being said, I’ve had this car for about a year and a half and just figured out that I had tap-shift available last week!

Also, go to Chicago!!! I would drive out of my way if BB (or any sub) visited some city here in Texas or Louisiana!

My 3 year old daughter wants to be Doomagedon from League of Super Evil on Netflix. Sure, Ellie, why not?

When I got my push button start I was not super excited and now I LOVE it.

Thank you for not loving the Oreos- it saves me a few calories this week anyways!

I started buying pieces to my Halloween costume yesterday-a Disney pirate. My husband and I will be spending our anniversary (10/31) at Walt Disney World so we need to start working on our outfits now.

I think the Birchbox roadtrip was fun (went to the Atlanta one) but probably not worth an overnight trip anywhere. If you are a subscriber and have been for awhile, you will have received most of the samples for the build-your-own Birchbox already. And there was a wait for the manicures so I didn’t end up doing one.
