      • I sort of mentioned it here last week, but B and I have been eating clean.  So good-bye frozen yogurt and pretzel M&M’s and Diet Pepsi.  I miss them already! But it’s for the better.  I am really loving apples and almond butter (it’s like my go to snack) and you know what else is yummy?  Banana soft serve.  Yummy!
      • A few of my friends have been talking about PB2 powdered peanut butter.  You just add a little water to the powder and boom, you’ve got peanut butter or chocolate peanut butter!!  And not only is it 85% less fat and calories, it’s actually good.  Seriously.  Even B likes it.  He added some to his protein powder and had a peanut butter protein shake after his workout today.   We used to make peanut butter shakes back when I worked at the Dairy Queen (aka the best job ever) and they were amazing.  I’m going to try and recreate it using low fat vanilla ice cream, almond milk and PB2 powder.  I’ll keep you posted!
It’s good. I wouldn’t lie.
      • W has been using L’s old bumbo for a few weeks now.  He likes it, but not as much as L does.  I had no clue L would still fit in it or love it so much.  But he does.  And it cracks me up.  I should have kept it out for him all these years!!!!
I think they were watching Sponge Bob together.
    • It’s been pretty hot here this summer and hasn’t rained a lot.  The result?  Dry crispy grass.  So of course it makes complete sense to light off fireworks!  NOT.  Yesterday afternoon B yells to me to look out the window.  What do I see?  One of the empty lots behind our house basically on-fire.  Nice.  Real nice.  The Fire Department came and I guess they were pretty pissed off.  Can’t say I blame them.  Luckily my town has amazing an fire (and police) departments, so nothing got too out of control, but I can tell you that it does stink.  And while talking to some of the neighbors last night, it appears that this happened a few days ago as well to some kids who were lighting off fireworks.  Think people, think.
Two fire trucks & two police cars responded. I can only imagine what happens during HUGE fires here.
    • As usual, hilarious things keep coming out of L’s mouth.  He’s obsessed with getting a big dog and tells Buddy all the time “When you die, you will never get to see me again”.  And “When you die, I will get a big dog, but don’t worry, you won’t die for a long time.  And then I will get a big dog.”.  Do you think maybe he wants a big dog?
    • Speaking of Buddy, him and Baxter have haircuts today.  Yep, I get to take both dogs and the kids to the dog salon.  Don’t be jealous.  Baxter and the no big deal. Add in Buddy and you’ve got yourself a mess!!  Ohh, and we get to stop at the vet first to get their shot records.  It should be fun.
So so furry.
    • Okay, those of you with infants, do you put sunscreen on them?  I remember when L was little you weren’t supposed to put it on infants under 6 months old.  But I read that it’s now okay for babies?  It’s not like W goes tanning or anything, but he does sometimes end up in the sun.  And that ghost colored skin is going to burn, so I want to be extra safe.  As a side note, when B came home from work the other day, he asked why W looked so tan.  Umm, because I took him spray tanning?  I kid, I kid.  It had to have been the lighting because W is nothing close to being tan.
Getting his swim on and wishing he could go out during the daytime.
  • Against my better judgement, I ordered some things from the Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual Sale.  I am pleased to report I did not order any hand soaps, but instead bought cheap wallflower refills (I love those things), cheap lotions and shower gels and a not so cheap, not on sale candle.  Once I saw that they had Lemongrass Sage I had to order.  Had to.  I once stayed at a hotel that had BBW products and they had Lemongrass Sage.  You better bet I called the front desk and requested more.
  • And finally, I couldn’t be happier for Katie Holmes and little Suri Cruise.  It was time to leave Tom.  Something creepy was going on there.   I’d like to think that he was normal during Top Gun because I love that movie.  I think he must have gotten all nutso after that ;).  I don’t know too much about Scientology to have an educated opinion on it, so I will give you my non-educated one.  It’s creepy.

So many things…so little time! Yep, I still have PB2 from back in my better WW days…it’s good cause it’s actually made from real live peanuts! I sooo hate fireworks and the irresponsibles who often go with them. Have seen grown men turn to idiots, teens with no brains and heard the loud booms that impress no one!! It’s especially bad once you have kids who sometimes are awakened by the crazies! Oh, and I swear I thought W was one of those swimming practice dolls!! Did you say ya need a big dog? We have a foster program…lol!! L’s hilarious — love my big dog!

Your “better WW” days? Have you ever tried the MyFitnessPal app? It’s kinda fun!

I agree… Tom is a creep – seems very controlling.

I just have to tell you how much I enjoy your blog!!! You say a lot of things that just make me LOL!! I’ve only been reading for a few months (but I read your blog all the way back) and I love your sense of humor 😉 More than that, I love that you are staying at home with your boys and are loving it! You have a sweet family and I look forward to your blog each day!

Love the Pic of W backfloating in the pool! 🙂 I use Arbonne’s baby care line sunscreen on my little ones…it’s safe because it has none of the nasty stuff in it. Thanks for the tip on PB2….I need to try because I love the flavor, but the fat and calorie content of PB just aint cuttin’ it with my metabolism these days.

I am going to have to try the Arbonne line! Thank you for the recommendation!

PB2 seems to be all the rage at work. I decried it as “gross” just for the concept, but perhaps I will have to try it now.

Ohh, it is? Try it! It’s not exactly the same, but it’s pretty close.
