This week I am saying So What If….
~I secretly hoped that we’d have a snow day (because of the freezing weather) this week. No such luck.
~I get annoyed when people don’t hold the door at the Post Office (aka gas station).
~I couldn’t stop laughing when WB was throwing himself on the piles of clothes I was folding yesterday. He’d run and laugh and land on my freshly folded clothes and then we’d both crack up. That laundry still isn’t done being folded.
~I am way too excited about volunteering in L’s class this week. Laminating and copies and stapling? That’s so me it’s not even funny.
~I asked the lady at my bank how I should use checks (her solution for me while my new debit cards take umm, 2-3 weeks to get here) in an online transaction. #targetbreach
~I find it super entertaining when WB and Buddy get into a spat. Usually WB is the only one who knows they are mad at each other which makes it even more entertaining.
~I sometimes miss wearing glasses.
~I want to learn to cut my own hair. Just like a trim!
~I wish that there were a “good news” channel. Just somewhere where all you hear all the good things!
~I want to participate in the Reddit secret santa next year.

I have been a Reddit gifts person for quite awhile. The Secret Santa is fun but they also have specific gift exchanges throughout the year. Also in June, they have Arbitrary Day which is the same as Secret Santa but in the middle of the year. I know I sound like as advertisement, but it is fun. Also they have an exchange where you give to teachers, which I love.
Ohh, I am going to do the summer one! That sounds fun!

Yes. Many many years ago (gosh maybe 10), but sometimes I still miss my cute old glasses!
oooooh i want it so very badly! i would not miss my smeared glasses. actually when i get it i will probably still need them.
My husband is getting it Friday!!!! We are using up our flex spending money right away this year! I am so glad I did it. It’s amazing to be able to see an alarm clock in the morning.

I used to love volunteering in my girls classrooms! Kindergarten was the best because the kids were always so excited and happy. I am not doing classroom stuff anymore since my older girls classrooms don’t have volunteers ( or would my preteen and teen want me hanging around!) but I get to do the valentines party for my middles 5th grade class. Having fun with that! Thank goodness baby goes to preschool next year so I can be back to helping in school.
I agree with you on the good news channel. Or a kid friendly news show. It is so hard to be positive to your kids when all they hear is bad news.

My husband participated in the reddit secret santa last year. He got some really cool presents and he definitely nerd-ed out his secret santa with the gifts he sent (my husband is a very generous giver).
I am also thinking about joining it next year (uhm this year?)

I trim my bangs all the time. LOL I have a spot I like them and when they get to long I am not going to a hairdresser for the little trim so I just cut them. I’m sure they hate me when I do go in but it works for me. I kindof wear them messy anyway so it doesn’t really show if they aren’t perfect. I’ve never tried the rest of my hair though since I think the back would be hard.
I bet I could cut the ends myself?.

LOL. I know right??? I ordered a Take Note Notebook and they sent me a planner in error!!! Ugh. Still waiting on that Notebook. I will take a comparison picture when it comes.

Also, check out youtube videos for trimming your hair! I use a technique where you brush it all into a ponytail on top of your head and trim when it’s wet. You get long layers. There are other techniques, too, though. I watched a bunch of videos before I got the nerve to try it on my hair.
Did it turn out okay when you tried it??
Yep, the first time I tried it, I just took, like an inch off. Then, like 2 nights later I couldn’t stand it and took off another 2 inches or so. I have always put the ponytail right at my forehead and I’m thinking next time I’ll put it closer to the crown of my head because I need more length taken off without making the top layers too short. I’ll be trimming it again soon! 🙂 I’m trying to get rid of some serious damage from bleaching my hair then dyeing it back brown.
I actually colored and trimmed my hair on Sunday… successfully!!! I’ve done the coloring before, but haven’t ever attempted giving myself a trim. There are a bunch of YouTube videos out there.
Also, it’s surprising your bank didn’t give you a temporary card. The one time I lost my debit card, I got a temp one before the other one came in the mail.
That is what everyone said! No, they did NOT! I am so annoyed about it.
When I lost my ATM I set up my Paypal to deduct straight from my checking account. You can’t use PayPal everywhere online but a lot of sites take it.
I do already have my paypal set up like that. I am mainly just annoyed it would take 2-3 weeks for a new card. That’s crazy!
You should check out some of the Reddit smaller gift exchanges. They have a ton of different themes throughout the year. I did the Secret Santa one this year and my santa looked at my info once and never did anything. Then I got rematched and my new santa hasn’t looked at my info in the almost month I’ve been rematched.
So, enjoy the exchange for what it is. A cool opportunity to get to know someone and make them happy. But don’t expect that you will get anything in return. If you do, bonus!

She lives in Utah. You have to specifically mark that you want to ship internationally and if you don’t they try to match you with someone in your country. I decided not to opt in to the international matching/shipping due to cost. Maybe next year or for Arbitrary Day.
That is crazy about your debit card wait! We didn’t even know we were on the breach list until our bank called and said they had a new debit card waiting for us to come pick up. Then again, our bank prints them at their main branch. If this is possible in small town Montana, I’m confused why other places don’t have this?!
